Young Men Go On ‘Brother I Gotcha Back’ Retreat
‘Get It Straight Foundation,’ founded by Rechi Butler, recently took a group of Tampa youth to South Carolina for a “Brother I Gotcha Back” retreat. The youth toured the Patriots Point USS Yorkstown Museum, Mother Emanuel AME Church, where 9 people were gunned down earlier in the summer. On Sunday, the group worshipped at Charity Baptist Church. They also went on a college tour and visited The Citadel College. From left to right are: Devin, Antonio, Keantre, Zaquan, founder Rechi Butler, Gavin, Jawaun, Jalen, and Corey. “We really want these youths to know someone cares and wants to see them succeed in life,” Butler stated.
