MR. ALFREDDIE LEMONS
Mr. Alfreddie Lemons, a native of Tampa, was called home on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
He was born on Septem- ber 25, 2015, to the late George and Dorothy Lemons.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and siblings, Evelyn Merrill, Shellie Glover, Walter Glover, Jr. and Delores Bondurant.
Educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, Alfreddie (Fred) fur- thered his education at the Illinois Institute of Technol- ogy in Chicago.
He served honorably in the U. S. Navy during World War II, and the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired from the Tampa Housing Authority in 1992.
Alfreddie was married to the late Rutha M. Lemons and was the father of two lov- ing children, James E. Lemons, Sr. and F. Michelle Lemons, M. D.
He served faithfully at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted family which includes: son, James E. Lemons, Sr. (Catherine) of Stone Mountain, GA; daugh- ter, F. Michelle Lemons, M. D. of Land O’ Lakes, FL; grandchildren, James E. Lemons, II of Stone Moun- tain, GA, Maurice B. Lemons of Santa Monica, CA, Khari Lemons (Arcenio Cayetano), and Launi Lemons of Tampa; great grandsons, Carlos and Carmelo Cayetano; sisters, Rhudine McGhee (Rufus) of Tampa, and Thelma Dix of Seffner, FL; sister-in-law, Ella Cusseaux of Tampa; cousin, Melvin Collins (Del- phine) of Tampa; godchil- dren, Octeon Floyd (Theodore) of Tampa, and Cheryl Hodges-Cummings (Ludlow) of Clearwater, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand godchildren and family friends.
Homegoing services will be held at Stone Memorial Chapel, 5016 N. 22nd Street, Tampa, on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 11 a. m. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Av- enue, Tampa, 33610.

Homegoing celebration for Sister Eula Corine Jack- son, who passed away Sun- day, May 24, 2015, will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 1 p. m. at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1307 N. Jefferson Street, Rev. Anthony Henry, Assis- tant Pastor, with Rev. Jay Jackson, Mount Olive Mis- sionary Baptist Church, Lakeland, FL, officiating.
Viewing of the remains will be held at the church (Greater Bethel M. B. Church), from 12-1 p. m. Order of Eastern Stars burial ceremony will be conducted on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Stone’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel from 7-8 p. m.
Friends are invited to join the family at the funeral home for the ceremony. In- terment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Sister Jackson was the eldest of six siblings, born to Hosea Brown, Sr. and Rosa Mae Brown in 1928. She re- ceived her education through the Hillsborough County School System.
In 1945, she met and mar- ried Lonnie Jackson and from that union two sons were born, Lonnie Jackson, Jr. and Erwin Jackson (de- ceased).
She was employed in vari- ous types of positions, as a housekeeper and taking care of families. She boasted of having worked for and tak- ing care of some of Tampa’s most prominent families, such as Jim Walter’s family, and Doug Belden, who cur- rently serves as the Hillsbor- ough County Tax Collector.
Sister Jackson joined the New Smyrna Full Gospel Cathedral, under the leader- ship of Bishop W. L. Lee. She was very actively involved in the purchasing of the con- gregation’s current church located at 5015 N. 17th Street.
Sister Jackson was ac- cepted into the International F&A Mason and Order of Eastern Star, Inc., under the leadership of Sister Chattie Lee Martin, Worthy Mason,
Chapter #246. In 1981, she became a Worthy Matron, and founded the Preston M. Pughsley Chapter #364. In 1982, with the assistance of Past Grand Matron, Sister Fannie Simmons, Pastor Dis- trict Matron, Sister Ellen J. Duhart, and Sister Martha Durrango, she was elected as the First Worthy Matron of the Preston M. Pughsley, Chapter #364. She served as Worthy Matron of Preston M. Pughsley, Chapter #364 for 28 years, and since served as Past Matron. She also served as District Sover- eign of Stars for 14 years, Marshall, Past Comman- dress In Shrine, Most Excel- lent Rose In Rose Of Seven Seals, Central Session Presi- dent, and the first female President of the Building Fund. She worked diligently in numerous extensive in- volvements with the Nurses Department, and monitored new presidents of the Re- cruited Deputy of Order for Grand Sessions for 20 years.
Sister Jackson received numerous awards and spe- cial recognition of service to the Order. In 1986, she re- ceived an award for Queen Runner-up, Lillian Gill Grand Herione of Jericho of Florida; in 1989, she was 2nd place runner-up, Florida Joint Council; in 1990 she was 2nd place runner-up for Florida Join Council, in 1992, she received an Award of Appreciation, France Gilmore Chapter; 1993, she was 1st runner-up of Lillian Gill Herione of Jericho of Florida; 2001, she received a Tribute of Gratitude from The Queen Of The South De- partment; in 2002, she was Queen of the Lillian Gill Grand Herione of Jericho Of Florida; in 2003, she was crowned Supreme Queen Of The South, and the 20 Years Service Award as Worthy Matron from the Preston M. Pughsley Chapter #364; in 2004, she was crowned Supreme Queen Of The South, and received the Wor- thy Matron Of The Year Award, Christine Hayes, Grand Matron of Florida, she was the 1st runner-up Queen, Kora Grand Court; in 2005, she was crowned Supreme Queen Of The South; and in 2007, the Cen- tral One Day Session was named in honor of Sister Eula Jackson.
Sister Jackson often stated, “That every effort put forward, every word spoken, every minute spent working, and every act of kindness shown was done out of love, so let my works speak for me.”
Cherishing memories of her undying love are: her sons, Lonnie Jackson, Jr. (Beverly); grandsons, Ken- neth Blanchett, Cedric Jack- son and Rev. MRS. MARY ANN WILLIAMS-EVANS
Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Ann Williams-Evans, who transitioned from earthly labor to eternal rest on Sunday, May 17, 2015, will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 2 p. m. at Exciting Faith Alive Church, 5705 E. 32nd Avenue, Tampa, with Pastor Antonio Hawkins, of- ficiating. Interment will fol- low in Orange Hill Cemetery.
A native of Tampa, Mrs. Mary Williams-Evans was born May 16, 1976, to the parentage of Joseph Bostick and Shirley Ann Akins Abra- ham.
She was a gentle soul with a heart of love and gold. Mary met no strangers, al- ways willing to share what- ever she had with those in need. She loved her family dearly. She was a hard worker and never com- plained about life’s chal- lenges.
She was a graduate of Hillsborough County Schools.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Joseph Bo- stick.
Mary leaves to cherish precious memories of her with: a loving, caring and de- voted husband, Derrick J.
