A MEMORIAL SERVICE IN MEMORY OF
MR. BILLY MADDOX GARDNER. JR.
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Maddox Gardner, Jr., who passed away on Wednes- day, May 20, 2015, will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 1 p. m. at Tyer Tem- ple United Methodist Church, 3303 N. 15th Street, Tampa, 33605, with the pas- tor, Reverend Geraldine Christopher, officiating. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Billy Gardner was born on August 27, 1949, to Billy, Sr. and Gloria Monroe Gardner in Tampa. He was a graduate of Middleton High School, class of “67.” He also at- tended Florida A&M Univer- sity 1969 to 1971.
Billy M. Gardner, Jr. ac- cepted and confessed Christ at an early age at St. James Episcopal Church, Tampa, where he was baptized and confirmed, and served as acolyte for many years dur- ing his youth and young adult life before becoming an ac- tive and devoted member of Tyer Temple United Methodist Church.
Billy was the Brewery Tours Manager at Anheuser Busch, St. Louis, MO, Man- ager Operation Busch Gar- den Tampa, Ovall Operation of Parks, Raides Cleaning Park and Food Services 1993- 2012 and a Truancy Officer, Hillsborough County Schools.
Mr. Billy Gardner, Jr. was preceded in death by: his par- ents, Billy, Sr. and Gloria Monroe Gardner; grand- mother, Georgette M. Gard- ner; uncles, Robert Gardner, Sr., Dr. Jackie Gardner and Dr. Isaac Gardner; and aunt, Helen Monroe-Cuffy.
Mr. Gardner leaves to cherish his memories with: his loving and devoted wife, Francine Tucker Gardner; sons, Billy Gardner, III, Mar- cus Tucker, Jamaal Black and Shamari I. Gardner; 2 daughters, Ayesha Gardner and Dawn Gardner-Brown and husband, Clay Brown; brother, Jose Gardner; sis- ter, Georgette Gardner John- son; grandchildren, Sariah Gardner, Deja Brown, Demiya Brown and Destini Brown; devoted uncle, Her- man Monroe; aunts, Rosa Lee Shellman, Barbara Mon- roe, Lillian Gardner and El- listine Monroe; special friends, Sheldon “Corn- bread” Dennard, Coleman Bell, Lymon Reed, Hiawatha Davis, Dr. Aaron Smith, Henry Dawson and Freddie Shellman; and a host of other family and friends.
5-9 p. m. and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p. m., Friday, May 29, 2015, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, 33605.

MR. JOHN LENARD DIXON
A memorial service cele- brating the life of Mr. John L. Dixon, who passed away from natural causes on Fri- day May 22, 2015, will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015, from 6-8 p. m. at Quality Inn & Suites, 4955 E. 18th Av- enue, Tampa.
Mr. John Dixon was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 16, 1948, to the parent- age of John W. Dixon and Thelma Mayweathers Dixon.
He worked in Boston for the GM Factory as a supervi- sor and later relocated to Tampa in 1974. At that time, he worked for Unijax Paper Company, followed by Tropi- cana Orange Juice, and a host of other jobs throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by: his mother and fa- ther, John and Thelma Dixon; grandson, Derrick J. Dixon, Jr.; and brother, Roger Dixon.
He is survived by: two sons, John and Derrick Dixon; grandchildren, D’na- jha Dixon and Zaria Dixon; great granddaughter, Deri- ona Dixon; siblings, Jerry Dixon, Joey Dixon, Donald Dixon and his only sister, Linda Dixon; niece and nephew, Angelina and Palmer Dixon; a host of grandnieces and nephews; daughters-in-law, Deborah Dixon and Angeline Sheffield; mother of his chil- dren, Janice Anthony and her husband, Bob Anthony; and a host of other family members and friends.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the hotel at approx- imately 5:45 p. m. on Friday for the service.

MRS. MILDRED EDWARDS
Mrs. Mildred Edwards, a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great grand- mother and friend, passed on Monday, May 18, 2015, in Tampa.
A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, May30,2015,at10a.m.at 34th Street Church of God, 3000 N. 34th Street, Tampa, Pastor Rev. Thomas Scott, with a local pastor, officiat- ing. Interment will follow on Monday, June 1, 2015, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
Mrs. Edwards was pre- ceded in death by: her broth- ers, Miles Sims and Millard Sims, Jr.; sister Ruby Lee (Sims) Presley; and her son, Albert Edwards, Jr.
She is survived by: her es- tranged husband, Albert Ed- wards, Sr.; children, Rita Edwards and Pamela Ed- wards; numerous grandchil- dren and great grandchildren; brothers, Dudley Sims (Mattie), and Roland Sims (Mamie); sister Eula Strange; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; longtime companion, Fred- die Watts and children, Nathaniel Watts, Shelley Ann Watts, Jack Watts, Jacque- line Watts and Johnnie Watts; and other relatives and friends.
Mildred was born in Tampa, on December 3, 1934, to the late Millard Sims, Sr. and Catherine Sims, both of her parents also from Tampa.
Mildred attended local schools and churches in Tampa, where she lived and worked until she retired.
When her mother became unable to care for herself, Mildred became her care- giver until her mother passed away at the age of ninety- five (95). She was a guardian and babysitter to many of her grandchildren, who loved her dearly and who, along with family and friends, will truly miss her.
There will be a viewing on Friday, May 29, 2015, from 5- 9 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with the family re- ceiving friends in the chapel from 5-6 p. m.
