Wesley Snipes Vouches For Mahershala Ali As 'Blade,' Tells Fans To 'Chillaxx'
Seasoned actor Wesley Snipes found out his infa- mous role in the Blade film had gone to Mahershala Ali just like the rest of us — on the internet.
Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige made the re- veal at Comic-Con earlier this month and confirmed Ali would star in the re- make.
In a statement obtained by the comicbook website, Snipes admitted he was caught off guard but encour- aged his fans to calm down. Several people were upset
WESLEY SNIPES
when they discovered Snipes didn’t get the role.
“To all the DAYWALKERS losing their minds right now, chillaaxx,” Snipes said. “Al- though the news comes as a surprise, it’s ALL GOOD. Such is the ‘business’ of ‘en- tertainment!’ Much peace to the MCU crew – always a fan. Honor and respect to the grandmaster Stan [Lee]. Congratulations and Salaam to Mahershala Ali, a beautiful and talented artist whose expressions I look forward to experiencing for many years to come.
All of Quentin Taran- tino's movies are about how much he loves movies — and “Once Upon a Time in Holly- wood” is no exception. A mélange of pulp styles, ob- scure and less obscure refer- ences and Hollywood legend, it's a virtuoso effort to write himself into history.
It's also, unfortunately, an almost three-hour long re- minder of Tarantino's greatness. For all his self-re- flection and self-dramatiza- tion, there are things about the movies the director re- fuses to see, or to put on screen. Without them, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is less a fairy tale than a false alibi.
That's the genius of
Tarantino movies. He's telling history accurately through his eyes.
The movie is set in 1969. The bulk of the plot leisurely follows the career of aging action star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stuntman, driver and best friend, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Dalton hap- pens to live next door to Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie). In real life, Tate was murdered by members of a commune led by Charles Manson. The film ends with a fictionalized ver- sion of Tate's final night, in which Dalton and Booth play leading roles. The movie opens (today) Friday. A must-see!
Antoine Fuqua Seen Kissing Nicole Murphy While Married To Lela Rochon
Antoine Fuqua, who is married to actress Lela Ro- chon, was spotted kissing model Nicole Murphy in Italy over the weekend.
The “Training Day” direc- tor, 53, and Murphy, 51, were photographed at a hotel in Ischia, Italy, during the Ischia Global Festival, where Fuqua is set to re- ceive the director of the year award. Both looked totally relaxed as they sipped on coffee before going to the pool for a swim. They were snapped kissing on the lips.
Fuqua and Rochon married in 1999 and share

two children: daughter Asia, 16, and son Brando, 15. Fuqua also has a son, Zachary, from a previous relationship. Murphy was previously married to come- dian Eddie Murphy, with whom she shares five chil- dren: son, Miles, 26, and daughters, Bria, 19, Shayne, 24, Zola, 19, and Bella, 17.
Reps for Fuqua, Ro- chon and Murphy didn’t immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment, but Murphy told blogger B. Scott that she and Fuqua are just friends

NEW YORK, NY – Just when it seems R. Kelly can’t possibly take any more losses, he manages to lose bigger.
In the latest blow to the disgraced singer’s legal situa- tion, his crisis manager Dar- rell Johnson has resigned.
