Women’s Council Of Bay Area Association Of Realtists, Inc. Hosts 6th Annual Scholarship Banquet
On Saturday, August 10, 2019 the Women’s Council of Bay Area will host their 6th Annual Scholarship Banquet. The event will be held at the Tampa Park Community Center, 1495 Tampa Park Plaza. Networking begins at 6 p m., and the Banquet starts at 7 p. m.
The Keynote Speaker for the event will be Mrs. Chloe Coney, Founder of CDC of Tampa, Inc., and Public In- volvement Specialist, HNTB/Tampa Bay Next Pro- gram.
Mrs. Coney graduated from Florida A&M Univer- sity with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Correc- tion and was crowned Miss Freshman 1968. She is an ac-

She was inspired to find the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa
(CDC of Tampa, Inc.) and be- came its first President/CEO. Under her leadership, CDC brought into East Tampa over $50 million of public/private funding.
In 2006, Mrs. Coney re- tired from the CDC of Tampa and found a new way to serve the community as the Dis- trict Director for U. S. Rep- resentative Kathy Castor, who represents the 14th Congressional District of Florida. She served in that role for 10 years. She is cur- rently with HNTB Corpora- tion, an infrastructure and transportation company, as a Public Involvement Special- ist focused on developing transportation and construc- tion workforce projects in
Tampa Bay.
