Healthy Food Market Is Attempting To Close The Food Desert And Healthy Alternatives Gap In Tampa Bay Area
BY MONIQUE STAMPS Sentinel Staff Writer
In Black communities, “food deserts” are as prob- lematic as the economic struggles. In addition, these food deserts can lower good health outcomes. In the era of COVID and regular health resources being rarer, it is important that good quality food be available to all peo- ple.

The link between poverty and food availability has been well-documented since the mid-1990s.
