Healthy Food Market Is Attempting To Close The Food Desert And Healthy Alternatives Gap In Tampa Bay Area
BY MONIQUE STAMPS Sentinel Staff Writer
In Black communities, “food deserts” are as prob- lematic as the economic struggles. In addition, these food deserts can lower good health outcomes. In the era of COVID and regular health resources being rarer, it is important that good quality food be available to all peo- ple.
Minority communities have fewer supermarkets or farmers markets. Even when accessible, the higher cost of healthy food makes it cheaper to feed a family on fast food, rather than quality food.
The link between poverty and food availability has been well-documented since the mid-1990s.
One man looking to spread the word of health and fitness, Carl Cole is al- ways looking for a better so- lution for human health. After life as a broker, he cre- ated Cole’s Natural Way (formally Ultimate Diet En- ergizing Product) to bring new and innovative supple- ments for a longer and healthier life.
Carl’s Natural Way sells products specifically for men, women, and various ailments including gout, di- abetes, and high-quality CDB oil.
Cole and his good friend, Chuck Homuth, the owner of Chuck’s Natural Fields, have partnered to bring healthy food and sup- plements to a wider audi- ence.

Kombucha is a fizzy sweet-and-sour drink made with tea. Many people say it helps relieve or prevent a va- riety of health problems, everything from hair loss to cancer and AIDS. Kom- bucha has been around for nearly 2,000 years.
At the Brandon location, you can enjoy Chuck’s Salt Cave Room, where salt ther- apy, also called Speleother- apy, is practiced.
Speleotherapy involves inhaling microscopic salt particles that act as natural disinfectants clearing the lungs, sinuses, and airways of phlegm allowing patients to breathe more easily.
Every month, they also offer a Vegan Market for shoppers who don’t eat meat or meat byproducts.
cations, Chuck’s Natural Fields carries Carl’s Natural Way products. All four loca-
tions also offer completely organic food, with nogeneti- cally modified organisms
