The Jackson Heights Neighborhood Association Organized Its 1st Annual ‘Lights In The Heights’ Contest
Board members Fran Tate (President), Roberta Isaac (Vice-Presi- dent), Sonja Wilson (Secre- tary), Wessie Brown (Treasurer), Robert Smith (Events/Project Coordinator) and Henry Standberry (Board Advisor), drove the as- sociation boundaries searching for the most festive yards in the community during the hol- idays.
Over 50 neighbors within the association boundaries dis- played elaborate yard decora- tions. “Judging was quite difficult for our board,” accord- ing to Fran Tate, Association President. “We agreed, then we disagreed, but we finally nar- rowed it down to 25 yards,” stated Robert Smith, Associ- ation Events Coordinator.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners received cash prizes
