Drake's 'What's Next' On
Streaming Service, In $297 Million Deal
Track For No. 1 Debut On
What did Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey talk about when they went yachting around the Hamptons together last sum- mer? Perhaps only Beyoncé knows.
Maybe now we do, too. Square, the mobile payments company led by Mr. Dorsey, announced on Thursday its plan to acquire a “significant major- ity” of Tidal, the streaming music service owned by Jay-Z and other artists — including Beyoncé, Jay-Z’s wife, and Rihanna, who is a client of Jay-Z’s entertainment manage- ment company, Roc Nation.
Square will pay $297 million in stock and cash for the stake in Tidal. Jay-Z will join Square’s board.

In addition to “What’s Next,” Scary Hours 2 includes “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross, which samples Quadron’s 2010 track “Pres- sure.”
“What’s Next” also debuted at No. 1 on the global Spotify chart with 6.856 million streams, becoming the biggest debut of the year on the stream- ing platform.
Drake’s Scary Hours 2 pre- cedes his next full-length album Certified Lover Boy, which was delayed so the OVO founder could recover from surgery.

Andra Day Honored By Black Women Film Network For 'Billie Holiday' Role
OVO Sound Radio is back. Drake, who co-founded the program alongside Oliver El-Khatib, and Noah “40” Shebib, announced the episode Thursday night, just hours before he was set to re- lease what will be his second Scary Hours EP. Drizzy told fans that the broadcast will coincide with the launch of SOUND 42, OVO’s 24-hour station on SiriusXM.

The honor comes less than a week after Day won the Golden Globe best actress in a drama trophy for her performance in Hulu's The United States vs. Bil- lie Holiday, becoming the sec- ond-ever Black actress to win the category and the first to do so in 35 years.
Day was a first-time Globes winner. She was also nominated for best original song with Raphael Saadiq for "Tigress & Tweed" from the film, which is now streaming.
