Amazon isn’t being trans- parent in the weekend viewer- ship of Coming 2 America, the Eddie Murphy comedy se- quel the streamer picked up for $125 million back in Octo- ber.
Rather than reporting week- end viewership in millions, Amazon is claiming that Com- ing 2 America is the No. 1 opening weekend of any streaming movie in 2021 so far, and the No. 1 weekend of any streaming movie in the past 12 months in the wake of the pandemic.

Meghan Markle struggled with suicidal thoughts during a tumultuous tenure in the United Kingdom, feeling she was si- lenced by the royal family, she confessed in an emotional inter- view Sunday with Oprah Win- frey in which 17 million viewed the show.
“I just didn’t want to be alive anymore, and that was a very clear and real and frightening constant thought,” she said.
Speaking in candid detail, the Duchess of Sussex — who mar- ried Prince Harry in 2018 — reflected on the “very clear and very scary” feelings she experi- enced, but says she was denied the chance to seek help by palace officials.
“I was really ashamed to say it at the time, and ashamed to have to admit it to Harry especially because I know how much loss he’s suffered, but I knew if I did- n’t say it, that I would do it,” Markle told Winfrey.
She recalled Harry “cradling” her as she told him.
“I went to the institution and said I needed to go somewhere to get help, said that I’ve never felt this way before ... and I was told that I couldn’t,” Markle said. “That it wouldn’t be good for the institution.”
The revelation was one of nu- merous shocking comments made by Markle and Harry during the two-hour primetime event broadcast on CBS.
Markle, whose mother is Black, also claimed she learned
of concerns inside the palace over what their son Archie’s skin color would look like before he was born in 2019.
“In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, we had in tandem the con- versation of, ‘He won’t be given security, he’s not gonna be given a title,’ and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born,” Markle told Winfrey, without revealing any names. The couple did state they were having a baby girl.
The interview shed light on Markle and Harry’s surpris- ing decision to step down from their senior roles nearly a year ago and move to California.
They both described a lack of support from members of the in- stitution and addressed the in- tense media scrutiny that surrounded their lives, with Markle saying she had to deal with racism from the local tabloids.
Markle, 39, also denied re- ports claiming she made Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, cry as they prepared for her and Harry’s wedding.
Instead, Markle said, Mid- dleton made her cry over flower girl dresses. “I don’t say that to be disparaging to anyone be- cause it was a really hard week of the wedding, and she was upset about something, but she owned it, and she apologized and brought me flowers and a note apologizing,” Markle said.
