MRS. BRENDA ELAINE GRANT
A Homegoing Service for Mrs. Brenda Elaine Grant, of Tampa, Florida, who transi- tioned to be with the Lord on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 2, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones, will be held on Saturday, March 13th, 10 a. m. at Aikens Fu- neral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor K. L Muldrow, officiating of the General Assembly Church of the First Born, Inc. The interment will be held in Garden of Memo- ries Cemetery.
Brenda Elaine Grant was born to the late Clarence Baity, Sr. and Mosley Clark on July 1, 1948 in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Grant was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and later worked in the hospitality industry for many years. As a child, Brenda was baptized at the First Baptist Church of College Hill and be- came a member of the General Assembly Church of the First Born. Mrs. Grant loved her fam- ily dearly and was respected as the family peacemaker.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Lawrence Grant; brother, Clarence Baity, Jr.; and sisters, Ann Martin, and Clarice Green.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memory: an only son, Rodrick Southers; daughters, Monique Baity, April Green-Damen (Tor- rey Damen, Sr.) and Kailaia Grant; five grandchil- dren, Tylaia Damen, Aniya Camp- bell, Kamar Ashley, Torrick Damen, and Torrence Damen; sisters, Janice Clark and Gailer Baity; and special friend, Elder Glen Smith; along with a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, family members and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March12th from4to8p.m.We are following the CDC guidelines.

MR. ALLEN DAVIS
A Graveside Celebration for Mr. Allen Davis of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, will be held on Saturday, March 13th, 11 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Rev. Quantai Washington, officiating. The interment will follow.
Mr. Allen Davis was born on June 3, 1923 to the late Pink Davis and Francis Rothwell Davis in Pensacola, Florida. Allen was ed- ucated in the public schools of Santa Rosa County, FL.
On June 6, 1952, he married the love of his life, “Inez Hughes.” Allen started his career with the City of Tampa in 1959. He retired from the City of Tampa on July 30, 1981 after 22 years of service. And let’s not forget Allen’s life passion was the thrill of dog racing and CNN.
On Wednesday, February 24, 2021, his mortal body slipped away and his soul found Eternal Rest and Peace.
He was preceded in death by: his loving wife of 57 years, Inez; parents, the late Pink and Francis Davis; daughter, Gloria Jean Davis Johnson; siblings, Buster, Henry, Dock, Jimmy, Cecil, Rosa and Ethel Davis; grandsons Daryl and Dion Johnson, Michael Hampton and son-in-law, Joshua Dunlap, III; brothers-in-law, Frank Lillie, Roosevelt Lowe; sis- ters-in-law, Elizabeth Davis; Dorothy Davis, Flora Mae Davis and Bettie Daniels.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: 1 son, Calvin (Ever- lina) Davis; 6 daughters, Martha Ann Davis, Anita Dunlap, Alice Davis Strong, Grace Davis, Char- lotte “Nita Giles” Stanford and Gi- anna Morrison; grandchildren, Neil Wilson, Tavarsha Johnson, Howard Davis, Tiffany Davis, Ka- reem (Myra) Dessesseau, Kame- lah (Joseph) Rivers, Willie (Shenita) Bailey, Jr, Faran (Nek- isha) Bailey, Jason Tucker, Shi- keena (Tamar) Barnes, Jose Williams, Sheree Thomas, Alana Davis, Charde’ Sylvester, Stephon Morrison, Garry Hicks, II and Zion Jones; 38 great grandchil- dren; 13 great-great grandchil- dren; brother-in-law, Alonzia Jones Giles; sister-in-law, Richardean Davis; sorrowing families: Davis, Lillie, Joyner, Bai- ley, Kendall, Dessesseau, Gyden, Dixon, Balkman, Jackson, Davis, Shuler, Filmore, Nelson, Chaney, Johnson, Kirkland, Kennedy, All- good, Hodges, Taylor, Shaun the barber, The Hair and Lounge and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 12th, from 4 to 8 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.

MR. JC HORTON
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. JC Horton of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, will be held on Saturday, March 13th, 10 a. m. at The Center For Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Ave., Pastor Mark T. Jones; Pastor Rodney Norton, offi- ciating.
JC Horton was born July 2, 1959, to the late Cornelius and Arrie Horton in Wrightsville, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by: his siblings, Arthur Lee Myricks and Robert Earl Horton; mother- in-law, Mary Allene Carroll.
He attended Doc Kemp High School in Johnson County. After High School he relocated in 1978 to Tampa, Florida. He enjoyed riding, listening to old time music and watching television. He was em- ployed many years with Dollar Car Rental and Hertz Car Rental, where he took pride in his job. He met the love of his life, Linda Hor- ton and had 22 years of holy matri- mony.
He leaves to mourn: wife, Linda Horton; sisters, Shirley (Tony) Copeland of Tampa, Florida, Annie Johnson and Jeanette Knight of Wrightsville, Georgia; brother, Cornelius Hor- ton, Jr. of Wrightsville, Georgia; father-in-law, Joe Carroll of Tampa, Florida; sister-in-law, An- gele McCloud; a host of nieces, nephews that he loved dearly and showered them with forehead kisses all the time. He has 2 de- voted godchildren, Kaden Brown and Kamea Lawton of Tampa, Florida; a host of other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March12thfrom4to8p.m.

MRS. BETTY JEAN KNOWLES (“BET”)
A Homegoing Service for Mrs. Betty Jean Knowles (“Bet”) of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021, will be held on Wednes- day, March 10th, 11 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Rev. Melvin Biviens, officiating. The inter- ment will follow.
Betty Jean was born May 31, 1957 in Tampa, Florida, to the late Eugene Henry and Lillie Biviens Henry. Betty enjoyed writing poems and working with children to better their perspec- tive on life.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and son, Tedric D. Maynard.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Matthew L. Knowles; children, Lawanda S. Langston (Charles), Lamar Maynard and Jabbar Maynard; grandchildren, Na- talia (Nae-Nae), Natalie O’Neal (Jamel), Nathaniel O’Neal, Kisha Miranda (Xavier), Cedrick Cochran and Zion Cochran; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Bridget Henry, Reama Scott (Frank), Tamienia Bellamy (Leroy) and Samantha Mulero (Martin); sister-in-law, Mattie Shannon; aunts and uncles, James Biviens (Freddy), Faye Parker (George), Sunday Biviens Reese (Archie), Melvin Biviens (Sandra); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, near and far; and her beautiful Lee Davis family.

MR. DONALD YEOMAN
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Donald Yeoman of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sun- day, February 28, 2021, was held on Tuesday, March 9th, 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Dr. S. Evan Burrows, Senior Pastor, of- ficiating. The interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Donald Yeoman was born in Tampa, Florida, to the late Rev. Timothy and Helen Yeoman. Donald grew up in the tight-knit community of Sulphur Springs, attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a proud alumnus of Middleton High School Class of 1967. After high school, Donald attended St. Petersburg Community College before being drafted into the United States Army. After serving four years in the Army, Donald returned home to the City of Tampa and became the first Black Mail Carrier for the City of Tem- ple Terrace. Donald retired after working over 35 years for the Federal Government with most of his years working at James A. Hailey Veterans Hospital.
Donald was called to the min- istry in 1985 and served as an As- sociate Minister at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Har- vest Fellowship and First Baptist Church of College Hill. During his years in the ministry, Donald served on the prayer line, taught Sunday School, Bible Training Union, and served in various ca- pacities in the church and in the community. Donald was a prayer warrior, student of the Word and always ready to lead a lost soul to Christ. Donald also was a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.
Donald was preceded in death by: his parents, Rev. Timothy and Helen Yeoman; brother, Patrick Yeoman; sisters, Joyce Ann Deer- ing and Dr. Carolyn Williams- Ellis.
He leaves to cherish: his de- voted wife of 39 years, Debora Yeoman; loving daughters, Tara Yeoman and Deanna Yeoman Rolle (Genaro); 3 grandchildren, Vaisha Grace, Donell Grace and Gianna Rolle; 3 siblings, Cornell Yeoman (Iva), Marvin Yeoman (Rene) and Linda Yeoman; three brothers-in-law, Bobby Reed (Jackie), Leonard Reed (Helen), Willie Reed, Jr. (Pam); five sis- ters-in-law, Gwendolyn Williams, Carolyn Kirksey (Johnnie), Linda Roberts (Alvin), Thumbelina Long (Ronnie) and Fredrika Be- jacmar (David); a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends.
