Bucs QB Jameis Winston To Play Sunday Vs. Packers
BY IRIS B. HOLTON Sentinel City Editor
During the week of July 1 through July 6, 2018, more than 4,000 Special Olympics athletes and their coaches will congregate in Seattle, Wash- ington. The purpose of the meeting is the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games.
The athletes represent all 50 states and the District of Columbia to showcase their talents. More than 220 ath- letes, their Unified partners, and coaches will participate in the event as part of Team Florida.
Nine individuals will rep- resent Hillsborough County. They are: Devin Amerson, Robert Collins, Holly Ed- dins, Alecia Goad, Kyle Hall, Justyn King, Kiyana Levins, Serafin Lopez, IV, and Dakota Sorell.
The USA Games will kick off on July 1st and will offer 14 Olympic-type sports. The ath- letes will compete in track and field, basketball, bowling, flag football, golf, gymnastics, power-lifting, soccer, softball, stand up paddle boarding, swimming, tennis, volleyball, and bocce.
Bocce, also known as Ital- ian lawn bowling, is one of the most widely played games in the world and is one of the oldest lawn or yard games. Athletes representing Florida will complete in all 14 sports.
However, in order to par- ticipate in the event, each participant must raise $1,400. The funding will cover travel, housing, equip- ment, uniforms, meals, and more. In order for Team

The Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Bucca- neers will square off on Sun- day at Lambeau Field and it looks like the Bucs will be get- ting a key player back in the lineup.
Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter spoke to the media on Monday and said star QB Jameis Winston is expected to play on Sunday.
“Yeah, Jameis had an MRI on Monday and then he also did some rehab work with the trainers and since he did- n’t have any soreness Tuesday after the rehab work, he prac- ticed on Wednesday,” Koet- ter said via Mark Cook of the Pewter Report. “He was able to take all the reps.”
Winston has missed the last three games with a shoul- der injury. Ryan Fitzpatrick has taken over and the Bucs have won two of their last
JAMEIS WINSTON three games with Fitzpatrick
under center.
The Packers, who have a 5-
6 record, lost their last two games and virtually need to win out in order to reach the playoffs. The Bucs are in the same boat as they have a 4-7 record and are three games behind the Atlanta Falcons for the final wild-card spot. So while this is a game where it features two teams with losing records, it's basically a playoff game for both teams.
Florida members to attend and participate, they need fi- nancial assistance.

Bucs Promote WR Jesus 'Bobo' Wilson To 53-Man Roster
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers waived tight end Luke Stocker and defensive end Darryl Tapp, promoted de- fensive end Pat O’Connor from the practice squad, and are now promoting wide re- ceiver Jesus “Bobo” Wil- son to the 53-man roster. The
latter move was reported by Jenna Laine of ESPN.
Wilson was an undrafted free agent out of Florida State this season, who had a some- what prominent moment on Hard Knocks: he went to Miami on cut day when he had specifically been told to

stay in the vicinity of the facil- ities. The Bucs still kept him on the practice squad, though head coach Dirk Koetter was very much not happy about Wilson’s actions, claiming that he needs to change his attitude.
According to reports, ABC found a ratings hit on Black Friday with the War On I-4 ri- valry featuring an undefeated UCF football team versus a one-loss USF team.
The contest did a 3.2 overnight, which registered as the third best Black Friday 3:30 p.m. game on ABC dating back to 2002.
Orlando, which hosted the rivalry game at Spectrum Sta- dium, was the top local market with an 11.1, followed by Tampa, which had 10.1.

The numbers proved to be a ratings victory for the Amer- ican Athletic Conference, which is looking to re-negoti- ate its television contract with ESPN — likely in 2019.
