The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to 132 Hickory Creek Drive, in reference to a wellness check on Friday. The deputies who responded to the scene dis- covered the bodies of three adults inside the home.
Police have determined that the deaths have been ruled as a double murder and suicide. The murder victims have been identified as Ms. Samara Routenberg, 39, and Ms. Lisa Dawn Fuillerat, 51, both of that ad- dress.
Ms. Routenberg, was an Assistant Principal at Lake Gibson Middle School, in Lakeland. Ms. Fuillerat was a 6th grade teacher at the same school. Both were well liked.
The suspect has been iden- tified as 53-year-old Vin- cente Fuillerat, the estranged husband of Ms. Fuillerat. They had been in- volved in a divorce since Oc- tober 2015.
Police said the video cam- eras at the residence show Fuillerat breaking into the

home through a sliding glass door at 6:30 a.m. A shootout took place because both women were armed. How- ever, Fuillerat shot both of them several times and they died as a result of their in- juries.
However, Fuillerat was struck by return fire. Al- though Fuillerat was wear- ing a bullet proof vest, had been hit by several bullets as well, with one piercing the vest. But none of the wounds were fatal.
Police said Fuillerat had a note pinned on his clothing, and said it was clear that he intended to kill both women before turning the gun on himself.
The bodies were discovered around 2 p.m., after Ms. Fuillerat failed to show up for a court hearing and her lawyer called deputies, police said.
The couple had two adult children and would have been married for 28 years this year.
