The Tampa Police Depart- ment is currently searching for a man who purchased sev- eral items with a stolen credit card. Police said the man pur- chased an iPhone 7, head- phones, a phone case and a speaker system. The items were valued at $1,094.87.
The man is described as being a white or Hispanic man in his 20s. He has a slen- der build and a full sleeve of tattoos on his right arm. He
was last seen wearing a white hat, and a white shirt with black horizontal stripes.

Detention Officer
The Pinellas County Sher- iff’s Office has charged an in- mate with attacking and injuring a detention officer. The incident took place early last Wednesday morning.
According to police, at about 3:30 a.m., Corporal David Wall, 60, and Deputy Corey Bailey, 49, entered the cell of Roy Collin to conduct a routine search of the inmate’s cell. After entering, Collin is al- leged to have hit Deputy Bailey in the upper chest. Cpl. Wall went to assist Dep. Bailey and tried to re- strain the 68-year-old in- mate.
During the strugglc, Cpl. Wall fell and struck his left side on the toilet inside the cell. Cpl. Wall was trans- ported to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, two days later, Cpl. Wall’s med- ical condition worsened while he was hospitalized. He was rushed into surgery and underwent three surgeries to

repair a broken rib and punc- tured spleen. He is currently in stable condition, police said.
Collin was originally charged with aggravated as- sault on a law enforcement officer and 2 counts of bat- tery on a law enforcement of- ficer when he was arrested on January 20, 2017. He is now facing additional charges of 1 count of battery on a law en- forcement officer, and 1 count of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
Cpl. Wall has been em- ployed with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office for 13 years. Deputy Bailey has been employed with the agency for 10 years.
