Women Of Color In Pharma Hosting Bootcamp
And Networking Conference In Tampa

Women of Color in Pharma (WOCIP) and The WOCIP Founda- tion will be in Tampa this weekend for a Bootcamp and Networking event.
Over six hundred women are ex- pected in downtown Tampa at the Westin Waterside Hotel from Fri- day, March 4, 2022, through Mon- day, March 7, 2022.
WOCIP’s mission is to empower women of color in pharma and the life sciences to excel in their per- sonal and professional development and to transform their pathway and the pathway of others. Women of Color in Pharma's founder is Patri- cia Cornet. Women of Color in Pharma's current Founder, Presi- dent is Dr. Charlotte Jones- Burton.
Dr. Jones-Burton is a sea- soned pharmaceutical executive,
with significant experience leading clinical trial development for multi- ple medicines. She combines her leadership in research and people development with her clinical acu- men in order to positively impact the lives of patients and communi- ties who suffer with chronic dis- eases.
Dr. Jones-Burton earned a medical degree and Master of Sci- ence degree in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, with a con- centration in Clinical Research, from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
The WOCIP Foundation is a 501c3 organization under the WOCIP. It was established in 2019 to realize WOCIP’s broader com- munity outreach and create gener- ational change. It aims to serve regional and global communities through programs and partnerships that address educational, economic and health disparities.
