Basketball Team Reaches Final 64
Jackson Heights Neighborhood Association and Crime Watch will host a community general meet- ing on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:30 P. M. - 7:30 P. M. at the Jackson Heights NFL YET Center, 3310 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, 33610.
On Saturday, April 6, from 9:30 A. M. - 11:30 A. M., a community street clean up will take place. We will organize from the YET Center. A continental breakfast will be served. The community is en- couraged to participate.
"Help us to keep our environment clean and safe," states Fran Tate, JHNA President.

The Wildcats Women’s Basketball Team from Bethune-Cookman University is one of the 64 teams trying to make it to the Final Four. The Women’s NCAA Final Four will be in Tampa, April 5-7, 2019 at Amalie Arena.
But before they can come to Tampa, the women, seeded No. 16, have to defeat the defending champions of Notre Dame Uni- versity (No. 1 seed), on Satur- day, March 23rd. The first round game will air at 11 a. m. on ESPN2. The Wildcats (21- 10), coached by Vanessa Blair Lewis, will have to

travel into hostile territory for Saturday’s game. The game is being played in South Bend, IN, just north of Notre Dame University (30-3).
The women made it to the 64 by defeating Norfolk State University (17-15) last Satur- day, in the Mid-Eastern Ath- letic Conference (MEAC) tournament, 57-45.
The Wildcats are led by 5’- 8” senior Angel Victoria Golden (#24) of Tampa’s Alonso High School, where she was a standout player. The daughter of Tornce and Pamela Golden, Angel is the MEAC Player of the Year.
Also on the team is Alyssa Jones (#33), a 6’-1” freshman forward/center, who also played at Alonso High School, where she was the county’s top rebounder.
Alyssa is majoring in Busi- ness Administration at B-CU. She is the daughter of James and Jill Jones.
