Community Resource Fair Called A Success
On Saturday, March 2nd, several members of the community attended the “Action Today, Healthier Tomorrow” Community Forum. The event was held at the Silver Oaks Apartment Complex formerly known as the Kenneth Court and Johnson Court Apartments. The “Action Today, Healthier To- morrow 2019” Resource Fair was sponsored in partnership with I-Supplies and Blueprint Foundation.
Ms. Earlishia Oates, of I-Supplies said, “It was my vision to bring this community event to East Tampa in order to develop meaningful relationships with people in this community that often get overlooked in this city, and most importantly to bridge that gap between the residents and the officers that serve this community.”
She further said the event was such a success that Kenneth Femi, Silver Oaks Community Property Director, has requested that the event be held quar- terly and that it includes residents from Jackson Heights Estates, Columbus Court Apartments, and Central Court Apartments.
Among those in attendance at the community fair were: Tameka Monroe, Lashawn Smith, April Cobb, founder of Beatue’ Blueprint Foundation, and Earl- ishia Oates, founder of I-Supplies.
