Woman Gets 2 Years For Stolen Tax Refund Checks
Armed Man Walked Into Ross Store Later Found Dead
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 8:51 p. m. Saturday, a man walked into the Ross Store, 14940 North Dale Mabry, armed with a handgun.
The man walked toward the front counter, and then to the rear of the store. At that time, patrons and employees started evacuating the store.
Employees reported hear- ing gunshots and the man was found dead by deputies a short time later.
No one inside the store was injured and the identity of the man has not been released. His death is being investi- gated as a suicide.
Teenager Arrested For Attempted Murder

St. Petersburg Police ar- rested 16-year-old Cortiz Flowers Saturday, charging him with attempted first-de- gree murder for a shooting that occurred August 29th.
Officers spotted a car last weekend near Harbordale and 4th Street with an expired tem- porary tag. When they stopped it, the passenger, Cortiz Flowers, was arrested for possession of cocaine and pos- session of dilaudid.
Officers then learned that Flowers had an attempted murder warrant issued for his arrest.
Police said Flowers had a verbal and physical fight with 24-year-old Erik Corbett on August 28th, took out a gun and threatened Corbett and two others.
At that time, Flowers al- legedly said he was going to shoot and kill Corbett. The next day, Corbett was walk- ing and Flowers shot him once in the abdomen. Corbett was hospitalized in critical condition, but is recovering.
Burglary Suspect Arrested
A federal judge sentenced a Tampa woman to serve time in federal prison last Friday. She pleaded guilty to theft of government funds and aggravated identity theft on March 2, 2016.
According to court docu- ments, U. S. District Judge Elizabeth Kovakevich sentenced Ms. Tiana Lise Williams, 31, of Tampa, to serve 2 years and 4 months in jail. The Court also entered a forfeiture money judgment in the amount of $8,000, which represented the proceeds from the offense.

According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, at 1:18 a. m. on September 7th, Letroy Mosley, 26, report- edly unlawfully entered a ve- hicle in the Estates at South Cove subdivision. Once inside the vehicle, deputies said Mosley removed keys and a wallet. He then went to Speedway, 13179 301 South, in Riverview, and used the victim’s credit card twice and also used the credit card at the nearby Walgreens.
Mosley allegedly re- turned to the victim’s resi- dence several hours later, driving a stolen vehicle, and approached the front door. The victim’s security camera captured Mosley approach- ing the front door and then entering the residence to re- portedly remove property, in- cluding an Xbox One with a total value of $1,455.

On September Mosley was arrested by Seminole Tribe Police for grand theft auto of a vehicle. Inside the vehicle was the vic- tim’s Xbox One and other items.
Mosley is currently being held at the Sarasota County Jail on charges of fraudulent use of credit cards burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, grand theft, and other charges.

Man Charged With Making Bomb Threat At Hospital
Suspect Identified In Strip Club Shooting
Clearwater Police charged a man who allegedly called in a bomb threat to Morton Plant Hospital last week.
Gerald Lemmon, 28, has been charged with threaten- ing to discharge a destructive device he is being held on $10,000 bail.
Lemmon reportedly ad- mitted to a detective he had called in the bomb threat be- cause he was angry with hos- pital staff after they refused to give him drugs and food. He had been seen at the hos- pital using a cell phone, and

was discharged an hour be- fore the threat was made.
The Pinellas County Sher- iff’s deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred at the 4Play Gentleman’s Club, 10387 Gandy Boulevard.
At 2:31 a. m. Sunday, Tyler McNett, 25, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Tony Thongdeng, 29, on a charge of attempted second-degree murder.

Teenager Arrested For
Home Invasion Robbery;
Elderly Victim Dies
Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 14- year-old teenager for a home invasion and assault on an elderly person.
At 2:13 a. m. Friday, deputies said Alexander Perez, 14, walked up to an elderly man as he sat on his front porch, and hit him in the face several times.
Perez then reportedly pushed the victim into his house through the front door, and proceeded to the victim’s bedroom where he allegedly continued to beat him.
Perez then reportedly took the victim’s wallet and pants before fleeing on foot.
Perez was arrested later that evening, and is now fac- ing several felony charges.

On Saturday, the victim, identified as 82-year-old Robert Walker, died. The Medical Examiner will deter- mine a cause of death and whether it is related to the home invasion attack.
