Teenagers Charged With Theft Of Specialized Van
Two teenagers have been taken into custody and charged in connection with the theft of a vehicle. The theft took place on Friday.
According to the Tampa Police Department, on Sep- tember 14th, Ms. Margarita Chapman dropped the keys to her 2005 Chevrolet Uplan- der while unloading gro- ceries. The following morning, Mrs. Chapman discovered that her van that was equipped with special- ized wheelchair assistance was missing. She contacted police and reported the vehi- cle stolen.
On September 15th, two juveniles, were identified by detectives as Julius Royal, 15, and 14-year-old Lemeyah Lloyd.

Woman Found Guilty Of Attempted Murder
ASHLEY PARKER
Ashley Parker, 31, was found guilty on four felony counts Friday: attempted first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated child abuse and re- sisting an officer with violence in connection to the stabbing and attempted drowning of her 6-year-old daughter in June 2015.
On June 26, 2015, Sarasota Police responded to the 2100 block of Leon Avenue to assist EMTs who were on the scene on a report of a 6-year-old child who had been held under water and stabbed. The child was Parker’s daughter and recovered from her in- juries at a local hospital.
Parker will be sentenced November 2nd on the charges.

helping Royal take the van, police said.
Royal was already in cus- tody on an unrelated auto burglary and grand theft auto charges.
After the news circulated in the community, several members of the community made donations to cover the insurance deductible so that the necessary repairs could be made to the van.
