Rosa Parks Biopic In The Works
Filmmaker Julie Dash is preparing to direct a biopic on civil rights icon Rosa Parks, which will focus on the decade before the seminal moment she refused to give up her seat for a white person on a Mont- gomery, Alabama bus.
According to Deadline, the story will center on Parks as an activist seeking justice for 24-year-old wife and mother Recy Taylor, who was bru- tally gang-raped by six white men in Alabama in 1944.
Per Dash, the film will not only center on Park’s efforts, but also the many other female activists who banded together to defend Taylor and demand
The biopic will show that Ms. Parks was a civil rights ac- tivist long before the infamous bus ride.

We don’t know if you’ve heard, but Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner are reportedly having a baby. Now, TMZ says the couple are expecting a baby girl.
According to the celebrity gossip site, Scott has been telling his friends Kylie is ex- pecting a baby girl for two months, and their latest re- port pretty much confirms the news. Kylie is apparently five months pregnant.
Rumors of Scott and Kylie’s romance first began spreading this past April, which wasn’t too long after her split from Tyga. Despite the breakup, Kylie said there was no personal conflict be- tween herself and T-Raww.
Before news of the preg- nancy broke, Scott copped Kylie a $60,000 chain for her birthday.
Young Dolph ‘Critical’ After Being Shot In L.A.
Young Dolph is in critical condition at a Los Angeles hospital after being shot mul- tiple times on Tuesday (Sep- tember 26), but the “Bulletproof” rapper is ex- pected to survive, according to the L.A. Times. The incident happened in broad daylight at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland, a busy tourist district near the famous TCL Chinese Theatre.
The shooting stemmed from an altercation between Dolph and three other men outside of the Loews Holly- wood Hotel. At one point, the self-proclaimed King of Mem- phis was knocked to the ground and shot several times.
Late Tuesday afternoon, TMZ reported that the LAPD had named fellow rapper, Yo Gotti a person of interest.
Gotti and Dolph were both staying at the Loews Hotel, but on Wednesday morning (September 27), the L.A. County Sheriff’s Office re- portedly disputed those claims and confirmed Gotti is not a person of interest at this time.

Future Cancels Australian Tour Dates To Mourn His Friend/Engineer
Atlanta rapper Future is heading back to the United States, after canceling his tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Tragedy struck the rappers inner circle this week, when long time engineer Seth Firkins passed away.
Firkins worked closely with Future on almost all his albums. He reportedly passed away after a heart attack in his sleep last Saturday morning (Sept. 23).
As a result Future, who had already played gigs in Mel- bourne and Perth, has decided to pull the plug on his tour down under.

Taylor Swift Sends Cardi B Flowers For Her #1 Spot On Billboard Chart
After nabbing the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and making history for “Bodak Yellow,” Cardi B has been attracting a lot of atten- tion.
Not only has the hip-hop community celebrated the Bronx rookie, but the pop world is embracing her too. Taylor Swift reportedly sent Cardi a bouquet of flowers in honor of her recent victory.
“Sooo beautiful and lovely .Thank you @taylorswift for the flowers....and I freaking love your music,” Cardi wrote on Instagram. Attached, was a Boomerang GIF of her and the gift.
While Swift and Cardi
don’t seem to have any type of relationship, and the fact that Swift previously held the No. 1 spot on the charts for her sin- gle, some insiders find the act suspicious, considering Swift’s reputation for seeking attention. But Cardi B, being Cardi B, she responded with gratitude.

Melina Matsoukas will di- rect City Of Saints & Thieves produced by Will Packer and Kerry Washington.
Melina Matsoukas, the director of the adaptation of ‘A Brief History of Seven
Killings’ for Amazon, is also lined up to direct ‘City Of Saints & Thieves’ for Universal.
The movie will be pro- duced by Kerry Washing- ton's Simpson Street and Will Packer's Will Packer Produc- tions.
According to Deadline, who reported the news first, "The story centers on the protago- nist Tina, a girl who has been living on the streets of Kenya since her mother’s murder. Re- cruited by a gang of orphans and street kids, Tina gets closer to exacting revenge for her mother’s death, but soon discovers that she may not have all the facts.”
