MSGT. WILLIAM MICHAEL LANIER, (U.S.A.F. RETIRED)
Funeral service for MSgt. William Michael Lanier (U.S.A.F. Retired) who passed away on Monday, Au- gust 24, 2015, will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at St. John Cathedral, 3401 E. 25th Avenue, Tampa, at 11 a. m. with Pastor Dwight A. Newkirk, officiating. Military Honors will follow at the church. Interment will be made on Monday at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, William, Jr.; and brothers and sisters, George, Jr., Eula Mae, Annie Lee, John Wesley, Winston, Sadie, Walter, BettyAnn, Willie Arthur and Everlina.
He leaves to cherish fond memories of him with: his wife of 46 years, Shirley G. Lanier; three sons, Darryl F. James of Anniston, AL, Micah C. Lanier of Tallahas- see, FL, and Nicholas D. Lanier (Marisa); daughter, Yolunda Michelle (Gary); 19 grandchildren, Trasha, Micah, II, Alexander, Mikia, Monique, LaQuanata, Shavo- rae, Ebony, Johnna, Jade, Dominique, Brittany, Briana, D. J., Zakiya, Johnnay and Johnny Stanley, Kamiya and Dezleon; 4 great grands, Aiden, Aburiel, Auri and Rae; 2 other great grands; 2 broth- ers, C. S. Lanier of Detroit, MI, and Sidney Lanier (Lisa) of Anniston, AL; a host of nephews and nieces, namely Kenneth (Kianda) of Jack- sonville, SC, Rosalie and Greg of Rocky Mt., SC, Larry, Jr. (Towanna) of Philadelphia, PA, Barbara Ann, and Nora (Richard), all of Detroit, MI, Teresa of Anniston, Annette of Detroit, MI, Phillis of At- lanta, GA, and Lyric of De-
catur, GA; a host of cousins, namely Elizabeth Johnson of Lake Wales, Ina Mae, Dawn and Deonta of New Castle, DE, and Haskell; brother-in- law, Nathan Ray Anderson; 4 sisters-in-law, Annie Pearl of Anniston, AL, Helen White of Indianapolis, IN, Deana Gray and Iola Gray of Lawton, OK; son-in-law, Lyndon Johnson (Melanie) of Daytona; daugh- ter-in-law, Lizette Lanier; godchildren, Collette, Charles, Debbie, Travis, Tam- era, Ronnie, Ryan, Renecia, Cathy, Jessica, H. J., Tallie, III, Aria, Dwight, Reggie, Deanna, Christina, Paula and Lowell, GT, Angela, Bryan and Charlotte; very close friends, “like family,” Witt, McFadden family, Nancy, Beatrice, Gainer family, Ellis family, Bagley family, Smith family, Pastor Dwight and the Newkirk family, Bell family, Louise, HiSmith family, Brown family, Johnson fam- ily, McDaniel, Franklin, Es- calante, David and the Walter families and many, many more relatives and friends.
William Michael Lanier was the eight child born of thirteen children to the union of the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Nora Lanier on October 15, 1943, in Annis- ton, AL. He graduated from Cobb Avenue High School, Class of 1962.
He immediately joined the Air Force and served his country faithfully for 24+ years. While stationed at MacDill AFB, he met and married Shirley G. Gray and to this union they had four children.
After his retirement, he worked 5 years as an insur- ance agent for Southern Life Insurance Company.
He also worked for Sears Service Department and sev- eral years as a Custodian at St. John.
He was appointed to the Deacon Ministry by the late Bishop Eddie Newkirk.
There will be a viewing on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Wilson Funeral Home from 5-8 p. m.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church at ap- proximately 10:45 a. m. on Saturday for the service.

MR. LEE EARL KELLY, JR. Sunrise: April 19, 1959 Sunset: August 1, 2015
Early morning on August 1, 2015, Mr. Lee Earl Kelly, Jr. of 110 W. Ida Street, heard the call of his Heavenly Father, saying, “come home to your eternal peace and rest.”
Lee was born in 1959, in Bent Harbor, Michigan to parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Earl Kelly, Sr. and Mae Kelly.
Lee attended school in Michigan, after which he moved to Tampa as a young man, where he trained and was skilled in handy work construction and plumbing.
Lee was strong in stature and character, but he had his softer side, where he enjoyed music, his movies and was an excellent cook.
Before becoming ill, Lee’s favorite pastime was going to the park (Giddens) and spending time at the basket- ball court with his friends. Due to several strokes, Lee became ill. Although his movement was limited, Lee enjoyed watching from the sideline and visiting with friends.
Lee was preceded in death by: his father, Lee Earl Kelly, Sr.; and sisters, Ann and Jean.
Lee leaves fond and treas- ured memories to cherish with: his companion of 19 years and caregiver, Kim Walker; daughters, Leeanne Kelly and Tameka Kelly; mother, Mrs. Mae Kelly; brother, Arther Kelly and wife, Marie; and a host of other sorrowing family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery at 11:30 a. m.
Family and friends are asked to arrive at 11:15 a. m. The repast will be held Satur- day in West Tampa at 3001 Beach Street.
MISS AGATHA D. KITCHEN
Miss Agatha D. Kitchen was born on December 14, 1961 in Tampa, FL.
She passed away in Jacksonville, FL, on August 20, 2015 where her interment will be held on Saturday, August 29 2015.
