MRS. RUTH W. CALLAWAY
Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth W. Callaway, who passed away on August 19, 2015, will be held on Satur- day, August 29, 2015, at 11 a. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Elder Larry Troupe, Jr., officiating, and Elder Larry Troupe, Sr., eulogist, both of Universal Church of the Har- vest C.O.G.I.C.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Mack and Carrie Williams; her only son, Leon Williams; and 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Mrs. Callaway leaves to cherish memories of her with: her husband, Dezzie Callaway; 3 daughters, Car- olyn Brooks (William), Linda Barr and Cassandra Reed (Curtis); 6 grandchildren, Valrecyia Edwards, Tonya Barr, Matthew Williams, Nicole Williams, Richard Barr, Jr. and Jasmine Cox; 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Elois Handy of Tampa; 3 nieces, Ann Williams, Betty Collins, and special niece, Margaret Troupe; nephew, Kenneth Williams; the entire Troupe family; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Mrs. Ruth W. Callaway was born on May 4, 1927, in Valdosta, Georgia, to the parentage of Mack and Car- rie Williams.
She later moved to Tampa and was a resident for over 60 years. She was a longtime resident of the Progress Vil- lage community.
There will be a viewing on Friday, August 28, 2015, from 5-8 p. m. with the fam- ily receiving friends from 6-7 p. m. in the chapel.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the funeral home at approximately 10:45 a. m., Saturday for the service.

MR. WILLIS JAMES COLE, JR.
Funeral services Mr. Willis James Cole, Jr., who passed away on August 20, 2015, will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 2 p. m. at Covenant Catalytic Church, 6212 N. 47th Street, Tampa, with Pastor Cornell Upshaw, officiating. Military Honors will follow.
Mr. Cole will be laid to rest Monday, August 31, 2015, at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bush- nell, FL.
He was preceded in death by: his sister, Shelia Cole; and brother, James Cole.
Mr. Cole is survived by: his parents, Willis J. Cole, Sr. and Barbara Ann Edmonds; wife, Barbara D. Cole; child- ren, Joy Robinson, Jason (Kirsi) Floyd, Ansel Cole (Laura West), Tomika Cole and Willis J. Cole, III (Shirley Spencer); grand- children Corey Robinson, Ansel Cole, Jr., Delaney Den- mark, Roslyn Hicklin, Dezi- rae Cole, Creasy Cole, Trevor Thornton, Jr., Rachel Cole,
Enoch Cole, Abraham Cole and Jamylah Cole; great grandchildren, Jakayla Everett, Johnny Everett, Ja- mariha Everett, Juelz Everett, Lauren Brewster and Korey Brown; siblings, Alfonso (Ophelia) Ball, An- thony Cole, Michael (Tracy) Cole, Mark Cole, Cheryl Cole, Ansel Cole, ElMarvin Cole and Daryl Edmonds; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved and cherished him; in- laws, Carmen White, Valerie Burrell, Vernon Hale, Thomas Robinson, Donald Robinson and Anita Robin- son; special family/friends, Stacie Cole, Rclaudia West, Jaleel West, Emmitt Kinsey, Alan Wimbley and Dennis Saffold; and a host of other relatives and friends.
On September 15, 1953, Willis James Cole, Jr. (Billy) was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Mr. Willis J. Cole, Sr. and Barbara Ann Cole (Edmonds).
As part of a military fam- ily, Billy lived in several states before settling in Tampa, where he attended Middleton High School, and later joined the United Sates Army. After fighting for his country in Vietnam, he moved back to Tampa and worked at Anheuser Busch Brewery for many years until he resigned due to health reasons.

MS. CHERI SHAWNT’E GHANT
Funeral service for Ms. Cheri Shawnt’e Ghant, who passed away on July 17, 2015, will be held on Saturday, Au- gust29,2015,at2p.m.at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with local pastor, officiating.
Her devoted and loving grandparents, Geneva and Melvin Faison, and Jerry Lynn Warren predeceased Cheri.
Cheri leaves to cherish memories of her with: son, Malachi Collins; mother, Melvina Faison; father, War- ren Larry Ghant, Jr.; sister, LaToya Ghant; brother, War- ren Larry Ghant, III; grand- father, Warren Larry Ghant, Sr. of New Jersey; nephew, Elijah; aunts, Bonni Taylor and Linda Farrar, both of New Jersey; uncle, James Taylor of New Jersey; great aunt, Hattie Mae Wilson; and a host of other family mem- bers and special friends.
Cheri Shawnt’e Ghant was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on May 29, 1985. She was the first child of Melvina Faison (Ghant), and Warren Larry Ghant, Jr.
On July 17, 2015, Cheri was called home to be with God and end her suffering with congestive heart failure.
Cheri was educated in the Tampa Public School System. She went on to train for Mas- sage Therapy, but held vari- ous jobs in customer service and the food industry.
She was a beautiful, fun- loving spirit who made friends everywhere she went. From her infectious smile and upbeat personality, Cheri was the life of the party. Even though she was rambunctious as a child, through sheer determination she grew into a loyal, consid- erate and kind woman.
She believed in God and was baptized at Crossover Church in Tampa.
Cheri loved to fish and spend time with her family and friends. Most impor- tantly, Cheri had the love of her life, Malachi, on August 9, 2014.
There will be a viewing on Friday, August 28, 2015, from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa.

MRS. BARBARA KAY BOGAN PAYNE
Funeral service for Mrs. Barbara Kay Bogan Payne, 91, who peacefully passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at John Knox Rehabili- tation Center, will be held on Saturday August 29, 2015, at 11 a. m. at Bible-Based Fel- lowship Church of Temple Terrace, 8718 N 46th Street, Tampa, with Rev. Dr. Earl B. Mason, Sr. officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
She is survived by: her children, John Robert Fields, Doris Payne, Phyllis Payne Woods (Michael), LeRoy Jerome Payne and Iris Payne Metcalf; and other relatives and friends.
A native of Gary, Indiana, Mrs. Payne was a resident of Tampa for the past 15 years. She was a member of Bible- Based Fellowship Church of Temple Terrace.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, between 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N 29th Street, Tampa.
