MR. GEORGE MCCLENDON
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. George McClendon, of Or- lando, Florida, will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022, 10:30 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Prophet- ess Novella Washington, officiat- ing.
George was born July 28, 1950, to Ms. Bettye Walker in Or- lando, Florida. The family moved to Tampa when he was a young child, and they settled in Central Park Village. He moved back to Orlando, where he was edu- cated in the Orange County Pub- lic Schools. George loved baseball and was an outstanding baseball player in high school.
He graduated from Jones High school in 1969. After grad- uating from high school, he moved to New Jersey, where he met and married his wife, Eliza- beth. For almost 20 years, George worked as a trac- tor trailer driver, first for All State Engineering, then for vari- ous other companies in the New Jersey area before return- ing to Florida.
George worked various jobs in Orlando until he became ill and could no longer work. He transitioned on January 18, 2022.
He was preceded in death by: his former spouse, Elizabeth; son, James; grandparents, Ethel

A Celebration of Life and Homegoing Service for Mr. Earl Jesse Jones, Sr., who passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, 10 a. m., at Northside M. B. Church, 5706 N. 40th St., Tampa, FL 33610. The family will meet at 2008 E. Annie St., Tampa, FL. MASK RECOM- MENDED.
Mr. Earl Jesse Jones, Sr. will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Earl Jesse Jones, Sr. was born on January 3, 1976, in Tampa, FL. He attended Brandon High School, where he was a foot- ball player. After his education experience, he was employed by Olivia Tobacco Company. He was a dedicated father, who loved his children and family very much. For recreational fun, he was a true fan of the Tampa Bay Bucca- neers.
He was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Lottie Good- man; and daughter, Cheyenne Jones.
Earl J. Jones leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Debra White (Garry); stepfather, John White; wife, Deanna Nash; 5 chil- dren, Earl, Jr. (KeVonna), Akila, Annalise, Serenity, Dakai; broth- ers, Carlton (Telia) Andre, Ger- ard (LaToya), Kenyata, John ‘Pooh’ White, Jr. (Arlene), and Brandon (Toy); sister, Alyssia Jones; uncles, Jesse Jones, Jr. (Patty), and Tyrone (Lisa); aunts, Carolyn Hilery and Frankie Jones; a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.

Samuel Bolden was born May 22, 1946 in Tampa, Florida, to Catherine Johnson Bolden and Samuel Bolden, Sr. Samuel attended Middleton High School. From there, he enlisted in the U. S. Army. Samuel re- tired from Alderman Transport as a long distance truck driver.
Sam was known for his vast knowledge of many subjects and whit, and his ability to carry long conversations about any subject.
Mr. Samuel (Sam) Bolden, Jr. passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bolden, Sr.; sister, Helen Johnson Everett; brothrs, Albert Johnson, Madi- son Johnson, Jerome Johnson, Timothy Bolden and Harold Bolden.

MRS. BARBARA C. GAY
Mrs. Barbara C. Gay passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Advent Health in Tampa, FL.
Barbara was born to Mr. Peter L. Williams and Mrs. Al- tameze Williams on February 4, 1932.
Barbara married Mr. Bill Gay, of Plant City, FL. She was a native of Tampa, FL, and she resided at Campus Hill Drive.
Barbara worked at Yellow Cab Company in the 1950s and she was a dispatch operator.
Barbara’s favorite gospel song was “Victory Today is Mine,” and her favorite phrase was “What do you want me to do?”
She was preceded in death by: her sons, William James Ransom and Tyler Gay.

Visitation will be held this Friday, evening from 5 p. m. until 7 p. m. at Harmon Fu- neral Home, 5002 North 40th Street, Tampa, FL, 33610.
Friends are asked to be as- sembled to give your condo- lences and heartfelt sympathy to the family at 10:30 a.m. Please use mask protection.
