‘The Gift Of Life’ Christmas Play Has Free Performances This Weekend
JACENTHA BUGGS, M. D. ...Wrote the play
A Christmas play that will promote the gifts of salvation and organ and tissue donation.
On Saturday, December 16th and Sunday, December 17th, members of Bible-Based Fellowship Church of Carroll- wood will perform a unique Christmas play titled The Gift of Life. Jacentha Buggs, M. D., wrote the play while traveling back to Tampa from a medical conference.
As a member of Bible-Based Fellowship and an organ pro- curement and research physi- cian at Tampa General Hospital, she realized the need to educate diverse communities about organ and tissue dona- tion.
“This production will high- light two of the greatest gifts, the gift of salvation, and the gift of organ and tissue donation,” says Dr. Buggs. “There are, unfortunately, many myths sur- rounding organ and tissue do- nation, but the truth is donation saves and improves lives. We hope this production will en- courage people to sign up to save lives through organ and tissue donation.”
LifeLink Foundation, the local organ and tissue recovery organization, will have a repre- sentative in attendance at each

production to answer any dona- tion-related questions audience members may have, and regis- ter donors who wish to join Florida’s organ and tissue donor registry, DonateLifeFlorida.org.
“LifeLink is elated that Bible-Based Fellowship Church, under Pastor Anthony C. White’s leadership, has in- cluded the theme of organ do- nation in their holiday production,” said Ruth Dun- can Bell, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs. “We under- stand that for many, faith plays an important role in deciding to become a donor, and we appre- ciate our partners, including Bible-Based Fellowship who share the life-saving message of organ and tissue donation.”
The community is welcome to attend thesr FREE perform- ances of The Gift of Life this weekend. Bible-Based Fellow- ship Church is located at 4811 Ehrlich Road in Carrollwood. The performances are sched- uled for Saturday at 11 a. m. and Sunday at 10 a. m.
