WILSON
MS. MARY LEE ROBINSON
A wake service will be held Friday, December 15, from 6 – 7 p. m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL, for Ms. Mary Lee Robinson, who passed away on Saturday, December 9th. She will be laid to rest in her home- town of Beaufort, S. C.
Mary Lee Robinson, was born January 27, 1931, to Robert Jenkins and Bertha Black-Jenkins in Beaufort, S. C., and attended the public schools in Beaufort, S. C. At an early age she moved to Lake Placid, FL, later she moved to Tampa and met William Robinson. She worked in the public school sys- tem and as a domestic worker.
Mary was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert and Bertha Jenkins; sister, Ethel Jenkins.
Those left to cherish her memories are: her longtime companion, William Robinson; her children, Sylvester Jenkins (Elaine), Virginia Jenkins (Jack), Leroy Robinson (Betty), Jannie Smith (Shelton), Calvin Robinson, James Robinson (Marian); siblings, Herbert Jenkins (Virginia) of Roselle, NJ, Abraham Jenkins (Bertha) Jenkins, S. C., Othea Daise of Newark, NJ; grandchildren, Erick, Jamaal, Dwayne, Rovan- nia, Shawn, Honey, Untray, Fredericka, Katrina, Adrian, Calisha, Sierra, Latasha, Quincy; a host of great-grand- children and 1 great-great- grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
A visitation will be held Fri- day, 5 –8 p. m. at the Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Helen Louise Rivers, who died on Thursday, De- cember 7, 2017, will be Satur- day, December 16, 2017, 11 a. m.attheNewHopeM.B. Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Ave., Pastor Larry J Mouton, Jr., officiating.
Mrs. Helen Rivers spent most of her life between Tampa, FL and Cuthbert, GA, as a faithful mother and grandmother. She graduated from Blake High School, for- merly Don Thompson High School. Helen was the last Miss Don Thompson, class of 1956, prior to the school changing its name. She also attended Hillsborough Com- munity College, completing child care training. She worked as a nursing assistant at the James A. Haley Veter- ans Hospital, but devoted her life to her children and family.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory: a loving sister, Daiezell Harris; five incredi- ble children, Pamela Rivers, Theresa Rivers, Kadani Rivers, Gary Rivers and wife, Towanda, Steven Rivers and wife, Sonya; sixteen grand- children, Rekesia Williams and husband, Hilton, Ahmad Young, Terah Young, Velincia Rivers, Olaywhjuan Maurice Rivers and wife, Andrea, Aszur Rivers, Chaz Rivers, Rachel Thomas, Bekida Shea Lee, Johnathen Lee, Joe Cecil Williams, III, Dominique Kelsie and husband, Marino, Vizcaya Rucker and husband Johnnie, Josiah Rivers, Esrom Rivers and wife, Ash- ley, Ariel Rivers and Ashley Rivers; three great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Daisy Bell Dukes; her father, Nathan Dukes; beloved husband, Vel- gamon Rivers; and son, Velga- mon Rivers, Jr.

MR. JOHN EDWARD LAWSON, SR.
A Memorial Service for Mr. John Edward Lawson, Sr., a resident of Tampa for 26 years, who passed away, Tuesday, De- cember 5, 2017, will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1 p. m. at Bible-Based Fellow- ship Church, 4811 Ehrlich Road, Tampa, FL, Rev. An- thony C. White, pastor, offici- ating.
John was born July 28, 1950, fourth of six children, in Iaeger, West Virginia, to the late James and Virginia Law- son. Growing up, John at- tended the public schools of Columbus, Ohio, graduating from South High School, 1968. He matriculated to Ohio Wes- leyan University, graduating 1975, subsequently completing FAA Air Traffic Control Acad- emy in 1978. During his career as an Air Traffic Controller, John worked air traffic in Muncie, Indiana, Columbus, Ohio, San Juan, Puerto Rico CERAP and Tampa, Florida.
As a child, John attended Pilgrim Baptist Church in Columbus, OH. He later be- came a member of Bible-Based Fellowship Church. Before his failing health, he was a mem- ber of the Men’s Usher Board, Couples Ministry and SAGE Ministry.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Vir- ginia Lawson; brother, James Lawson; sister, Betty Burns; brother, Jimmy Lawson and daughter, Oriaku Imani Law- son.
He leaves to cherish pre- cious memories: a loving wife of 47 years, Valerie; sons, John II and James (Francine); daughter, Jasmine; grandchil- dren, Jocelyn and James, Jr.; Malikah Hart; special niece, Ramon Lawson; special nephew, Dawud Chevers (god- son); godson, Johnny Young; sister, Devora (Joe) Cum- mings; brother, Ricky; faithful friend, Mike Traughtman and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
