HABSE Honors 500 2019 Achievers
The Hillsborough Alliance of Black School Educators (HABSE) recognized over 500 students from the Class of 2019 for their high achievements. The program to honor the students was held at Jefferson High School. (Photographs by Julia Jackson)

Dr. Laymon Hicks, 29, was the speaker for the evening. Before his Robert (Bob) Morrison shared the message, Dr. Hicks got everyone in- Master of Ceremonies duties. volved – staffers, students and guests.
Victor Whaley, 2019 grad, was the Master of Ceremonies.

Proud grandmother, Sherryl Cusseaux, with her grandson, Mekhi Cusseaux Williams, a Robinson High School IB Program fellow graduate with a 6.7 GPA. Mekhi was accepted to schools all over
the country, but decided to attend Florida State in the fall.

The men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity presented scholarship checks to D’Ante
Ford ($4,000) Nigel Browne ($5,000) and Savor Watson ($3,000). The Frater-
nity men are: Kelly B. Williams, Nicholas Cooper, Shaka Jasper, Dan Brown and Some of the over 500, 2019 High Achievers who were honored by Marlo Blair. HABSE.
