Two people were arrested Sunday, just before 3 p.m., after they were discovered unconscious in a vehicle. The incident took place at the in- tersection of Bearss Avenue at I-275.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the location after receiving a 9-1-1 call about two people passed out in a car. When the deputies arrived, they discov- ered the driver and front pas- senger of a burgundy-colored Ford Escape passed out. They also had two small children in the backseat.

Man Armed With Knife Fatally Wounded
the scene, they administered Narcan to Scott Moreno, 37, and 32-year-old Ms. Shikira Ford. Both were then transported to a local hospital.
Narcan is used for the complete or partial re- versal of opiod overdose.
Moreno is facing DUI and child neglect charges. Ms. Ford is facing child neg- lect charges. The deputies said narcotics were found in- side the vehicle.
“Endangering the lives of innocent children is some- thing we will not tolerate in Hillsborough County,” Sher- iff Chad Chronister said.
He further said, “Not only did these two people put chil- dren at risk, but they jeop- ardized the lives of countless other drivers on the road Sunday afternoon with their careless decisions.
“We are very fortunate that this situation did not end with lives lost, and it’s largely due to the quick response of our deputies and the assistance of firefighters,” he said.
The two unidentified chil- dren were rescued from the vehicle and were not injured. The Child Protective Investi- gations Division was called to assist with the children.
A 37-year-old man has died after being shot by po- lice. The shooting took place Friday night in Ruskin.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 300 block of Shell Manor Drive, around 1:30 a.m., Fri- day, in reference to a domes- tic dispute. When deputies arrived at the home, they dis- covered a man armed with, and waving a large knife. He was commanded to drop the knife, but instead ap- proached the deputies. Both deputies fired their service
revolvers.
The man was medivaced
to Tampa General Hospital, where he later died as a re- sult of his injuries. He has not been identified.
Police said a woman and several children were inside the house at the time of the shooting.
The deputies involved in the shooting have been iden- tified as Master Deputy Jessica Ennis and Deputy Daniel DeLima. They have been placed on administra- tive duty pending the out- come of the investigation.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigat- ing of human remains.
The remains were discov- ered in the 14000 block of N. Dale Mabry Highway.
According to police, deputies responded to the location around 10 a.m., Sat- urday, after being notified by
a worker in the area. The caller discovered the decom- posing body in a watery ditch near the intersection of N. Dale Mabry and Ehrlich Road.
No additional informa- tion had been released at press time. The investigation is continuing.
   Man Charged With Attempting To Run Over Officer
Man Dies After Being Wounded By Relative
A 27-year-old man was ar- rested Wednesday after he al- legedly attempted to run over a deputy. The incident took place on Smith Ryals Road, in Plant City.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to a pos- sible shooting. There was no evidence of a shooting.
However, a deputy arrived at the scene he observed a Ford Fusion parked in the middle of the roadway.
When the deputy began to approach the vehicle, the driver is said to have acceler- ated and drove towards the deputy’s lane of travel in an attempt to hit him head on, police said.
The deputy made an eva- sive maneuver to avoid being struck. The driver then fled. The deputy turned on his emergency lights on in an at- tempt to follow the Ford.

Accident that resulted from traffic accident
A domestic dispute in- volving family members turned deadly last Wednes- day. The incident took place shortly after 11 p.m.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, deputies responded to the 10000 block of Grove Lane, in Odesssa, in refer- ence to a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered the unidentified man had been shot and died from his injuries inside the home.
The unidentified shooter told detectives that he shot someone attempting to break into his home. The unidenti- fied dead man had report- edly broken a glass window on the back of the home to
gain entry.
Once inside, he became
engaged in a confrontation with the male resident, who shot him. The two men were members of the same family. Police did not say how the two men were related.
An elderly woman, who is a member of the same fam- ily, and two adult friends of the family were there at the time of the shooting, police said.
No arrests have been made and the Sheriff’s Office is consulting with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice to determine if any charges will be filed. The investigation is continu- ing.
  When they reached the in- tersection of State Road 60 and Smith Ryals Road, the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver crossed all four lanes of traffic and hit another car.
The adult driver of the other vehicle was not injured. The driver of the Ford was identified as 27-year-old Troy Milton Tatum, of Lithia. He was not injured in
the accident.
Tatum was charged with
aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a ve- hicle and fleeing to elude. There was also an active war- rant for his arrest out of Polk County.
An unidentified woman and two children, ages 3 and 6 were in the car with Tatum. The woman was medivaced to a local hospital. The two children were transported to Tampa General Hospital. All are expected to recover from their injuries.
