Local Community Mosque Serving Hot Meals
 In Sulphur Springs
Masjid An-Nasr, in conjunction with Islamic Society of Tampa Bay and Islamic Circle of North America Relief, is gear- ing up to serve hot meals every Saturday during the Holy month of Ramadan. This is one of the major Holidays that the Muslims fast for 30 days, refraining from food, water and sex with their legal mates. This is a time for reflection, prayer and the reading of the Holy Quran.
During this COVID-19 Crisis, Ramadan will be different be- cause of the restrictions of going to the Mosque each day to do Iftar (breaking of the daily fast). The Holy Quran teaches us feeding people during the Month of Ramadan is great blessings.
So to that end, the Board Chairman and Founder of Masjid An-Nasr, Brother Richard Muhammad went to work to or- ganize this outreach effort to feed the community in Sulphur Springs, one of the most challenged communities in the City of Tampa.
Jarvis El-Amin, Co-Chairman and Outreach Director said, “We at Masjid An-Nasr are committed to our Mission to be in- clusive of the Community and continue our outreach efforts.”
This will be a Drive-Through process, all the participants will have masks, gloves on and practicing Social Distancing. The first Saturday distribution was April 25, 2020, at Masjid An-Nasr, 905 East Skagway Avenue, Tampa, 33610, at 5 p. m. till all the meals are gone. There will be no walk ups.
This is a volunteer effort to uplift the community, For those who would like to contribute to this cause, $Masjidnasr, or call Brother Jarvis El- Amin 813-787-6652.
