Chef Is Hosting Grand Re-Opening Of Her Restaurant, Main Course
The City Of Tampa Black History Committee, Inc. Is Accepting Scholarship Applications NOW!
    Exciting news for food lovers in Tampa – Chef Ash- ley Suttle-Dalrymple is re- opening her restaurant, Main Course in a new location.
In 2018, one of her clients had an open space and asked Suttle-Dalrymple if she would like the opportunity to open her own restaurant called Main Course. That location was closed to allow the restau- rant to move to a larger space, then COVID hit. She is now reopening at 4205 S. MacDill Avenue in South Tampa.

This location will be differ- ent than her previous version of Main Course. Instead of a rotating menu, the new restau- rant will feature a soul food brunch served daily from

10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. And there will be seafood specials occasionally.
Tampa native Chef Ashley graduated from Howard W. Blake. After high school, Sut- tle-Dalrymple went into the Army for eight years. While in the service, she went to culi- nary school at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
Chef Ashley started cook ing with her grand- mother when she was in mid- dle school. After leaving the Army, she started offering per- sonal chef services for a variety of celebrities. In 2016, she cooked for TI and Tiny and over 30 other celebrities since then. Food service is her call- ing.
Chef Ashley’s biggest goal is to open multiple loca- tions and establish genera- tional wealth for her family. She’d also like to expand her brand into other ventures such as cookware, clothing, and cooking utensils.
She is thankful for her family for their support. She is the daughter of Janice Hop- kins and the late Ricky Sut- tle; is the stepdaughter of Ronnie Bolden and Gar- land Hopkins. And is espe- cially supported by her three sons.
The City of Tampa Black History Committee, Incorpo- rated (COTBHC), is now ac- cepting applications for vocational/technical training and college scholarships from African American high school seniors graduating from schools within Hillsborough County.
To assist students in pay- ing for the cost of a post-sec- ondary education, COTBHC will be awarding scholarships in five different categories. Several of the scholarships are in honor of former City of Tampa employees. Criteria varies per scholarship. How- ever, each scholarship appli- cant will be required to write an essay on a topic relevant to the scholarship category. download the scholarship ap- plication.
The application deadline is Thursday, April 1, 2021. The COTBHC will award the scholarships during the month of May 2021.
The City of Tampa Black History Committee, Incorpo- rated is a non-profit organi- zation dedicated to promoting African American history, Black culture, and scholastic achievement. On an annual basis, COTBHC awards college and voca- tional scholarships to deserv- ing Hillsborough County students.
