AIKENS
MR. OTIS EDWARD BRANDON
A Celebration of Life for Otis Edward Brandon of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, will be held on Saturday, July 31st, at 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd. Tampa, FL 33610, Pastor Bartholomew Banks, St. John Progressive M. B. Church, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Otis Edward Brandon was born in Tampa, Florida, on January 26, 1942, to Mr. and Mrs. Odas Brandon. He was ed- ucated in the Hillsborough County School system, graduat- ing from George S. Middleton High School (Class of ’61) then going on to attend Florida A&M University.
He was a member of the Int’l Longshoremen Local #1402 for 38 years. Despite his demanding work schedule, Otis was a de- voted husband, father, and grandfather.
He enjoyed Sci-Fi movies and was an avid computer geek. Otis relished the benefits of being a family man and made his home a warm and welcoming environment for his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, mother, Betty Dou- glas; stepfather, Robert Dou- glas, Sr.; daughter, Val Brandon; brothers, Arthur Lee Brandon, Ronald Lee Douglas; stepbrothers, Jackie Leroy Dou- glas, and Elder Robert James Douglas; brother-in-law, Rowe Taylor, Jr.; niece, La Rhonda Douglas.
Left behind to cherish fond memories of him are: his loving wife of 32 years, Gloria Bran- don; brother, Gregory Douglas (Sharon); stepsister, Carolyn Taylor-Rowe; sister-in-law, Sadie Douglas; beloved sons, Reginald Brandon, Joseph E. Murphy, Otis E. Brandon, III, (DeAnna); cherished daughters, Kathy Davis (Will), Thea Bran- don, Tammy Jackson (James), Amy Lewis (Corey), Betty Mur- phy, and Debra Lewis; a host of grandchildren, great grandchil- dren, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends and the “Class of ’61.”
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel on Satur- day for the service. We are fol- lowing the CDC guidelines.

Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Mae Frances Paramore, who passed on July 22, 2021, will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, 10 a. m., at Center For Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610, Rev. An- tonio Hawkins, Pastor of Excit- ing Faith Alive, officiating.
Mae Frances Paramore was born on December 22, 1946 in Dawson, GA. She was the oldest of three siblings. Mae Paramore attended the public school of Hillsborough County, and grad- uated from Middleton High Schoo, Class 1965, in Tampa, FL. She attended New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church dur- ing her childhood days.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, John H. Paramore; the Mr. Adolphus Copeland and Mrs. Annie L. Copeland, brother, Thomas Copeland, Diana Smith, Mr. Lu- cious Kimbrough, Mr. Oscar Baldwin, Sr., Horace Morrison, Alice Ann Paramore; goddaugh- ter, Sonjia Johnson-Robertson; grandparents.

MS. BRENDA ANN WARD
A Homegoing Celebration service for Mrs. Brenda Ann Ward of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, will be held on Friday, July 30th, 11 a. m., at Greater Mt. Moriah P. B. Church, 1225 N. Ne- braska Ave., Rev. B. R. Fulton, pastor, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Brenda was born September 18, 1949, in Miami, Florida. She was the first of six children born to the late Everett Andrews and to Mother Gertrude Andrews of Ocilla, GA. She attended public school in Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Middleton High School class of 1968. After graduation she attended Pan American Airlines Flight School and became a flight attendant, where she met her husband Rev. Alfred Vincent Ward, Sr. They would later marry and start a family that brought forth three children: Vincent Ward, Cecil Ward and Yulanda Ward. She would go on to co-pastor The New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church in Miami, FL and Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Orlando, FL.
Her gift as a choir director was immediately capitalized
upon as well, which created the desire to sing in her children. She also sang with the gospel group called, “The Ingram Singers” and traveled through- out Miami, FL and abroad doing concerts. She was also a seamstress and enjoyed sewing clothes for her children and her gospel group.
Brenda Ward was an Or- ange County Correctional Offi- cer for seven years. She attended Greater Mount Mo- riah Primitive Baptist Church for several years where she en- joyed singing in the #4 Choir and other committees.
On July 17, 2021, Brenda quietly entered eternal rest and went to be with the Lord sur- rounded by her loving and de- voted family.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Everett Andrews, Sr., and brother, Everett An- drews, Jr.
She leaves to cherish pre- cious memories of her: sur- vived by her three children, two sons, Alfred Vincent Ward, Jr. and Cecil Ward and wife, Sonya Ruby Ward; daughter, Yulanda Ward; grandchildren, Alfred Vincent Ward, III, Skye Ward, Silva Ward, Sonyae,´ Naiani, Reginald King and Malik Robin- son; great grandchild, Malachi; mother, Mother Gertrude A. Andrews; siblings, Gloria Shell- man, Shirlene Edwards, Evelyn Andrews, Grace Jones, Kenneth Andrews, Janice Burroughs and Tonya Andrews; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins and other sorrow- ing relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29th at Aikens Funeral Home from 4-7 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Friday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
