Later, he was promoted to Dock Master and retired after 49 years and 6 months of employment.
Deacon Jacobs continued his education at Tampa College re- ceiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architectural Drafting and De- sign.
Later in life he joined in union with his queen and love, Laurine, and they blended their family of six children. Deacon Ja- cobs was a family man who whole-heartedly provided for them with love and support.
Deacon Jacobs reconnected his fellowship with the saints at Mt. Tabor M. B. Church, where he faithfully served as President of the Number One Choir for ten years, as a Trustee, and he was ordained a Deacon on January 26, 2010.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: wife, Laurine; children, Cyn- thia Jacobs, Felicia Sykes (Antonia) of Plant City, Mildred Jacobs-Carley, Sherrina Jacobs- Watson (Marcus) of Dallas, TX, Larry Williams (Lisa) of Jack- sonville, FL, and Gail Gantt (Her- man P. Green); nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a special cousin, Jerry Franklin (Aretha); three sisters-in-law, Anita Warren, Ophelia Saffold and Wilma War- ren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; like a brother, Robert James Wright, Sr.; god- son, Rev. Gregory Davis; god- daughter, Belinda Jefferson; the Mt. Tabor M. B. Church family; and Dr. Waldin D. Metzger, his Primary Care Doctor.
Viewing and family visitation will be conducted Friday, July 30, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. MASKS ARE RE- QUIRED.

DEACON VIRGIL C. JACOBS
Deacon Virgil C. Jacobs, of Tampa, FL passed away on Tues- day, July 20, 2021. Funeral Serv- ices will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, 12:00 noon, at Mt. Tabor M. B. Church, 2606 Grace Street, Tampa, with Minister Terry Slay- ton, officiating. MASKS ARE RE- QUIRED.
Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
Deacon Jacobs was born in Cushing, OK, to John L. Jacobs and Mildred Tucker. He accepted Christ at a young age.
He attended Booker T. Wash- ington High School, where he played basketball and football. He continued his education at Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX, on academic and football scholarships.
He matriculated there two years then was drafted into the United States Army, honorably serving and protecting the United States of America.
Deacon Jacobs moved to Tampa in the 1960s, where he worked as Truck Driver and in Construction. He was then hired by his father at Tampa Shipyard, Inc. as a Laborer and Foreman.
MR. DAMIEN A. NEALY
Mr. Damien A. Nealy, of Tampa, Florida, transitioned peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Cathedral of Faith, 6304 N. 30th Street, Tampa, with Apostle James H. Howell, Officiating and Pastor Nikki O. Johnson, Eulogist. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
Mr. Damien A. Nealy was a lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. He attended Armwood High School and was a SUPER FAN of the Tampa Bay Bucca- neers.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: his doting daughters, Datiana J. Philmore and Keyonie J. Nealy; loving son, Master Damien M. Nealy; affectionate mother, Wanda K. Nealy-Williams; de- voted grandmother, Cathelene Nealy; sister, Nikki O. Johnson; uncles, Larry Nealy, Leon Chan- dler, (Sabrina), Jerry and Terry Nealy; aunts, Priscilla (Ma Cilla) Nealy, Brigitte Fedrick (Kenneth) and Rita Nealy.
Damien demonstrated excep- tional love towards great uncle, George Todd; great aunts, Alene Nealy and Janice Todd; nephews and many devoted cousins.
Visitation for Mr. Nealy will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Service from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. at Cathedral of Faith, 6304 N. 30th Street, Tampa.

MR. JEROME McCALL
Mr. Jerome McCall, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Fri- day, July 2, 2021. Funeral Serv- ices will be conducted on Saturday, July 31, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at New Testament Church, 5107 E. 32nd Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33619, with Minister Cecil De- laughter, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Jerome was a native of Tampa and a lifelong resident for 62 years. He attended the Hillsborough County Public Schools and graduated from Plant High School. He was a member of New Testament Church and was the Owner and CEO of Jet Set Auto Mobile De- tailing.
Jerome was an entrepre- neur, specializing in Car Detail- ing. He truly loved his family and friends, and stopped by often to check on them. He had a heart of gold.
He was preceded in death by: his loving wife, Carla McCall, of 41 years; mother and father, Juliet McCall and James McCall; grandmother, Marie Kebbler; aunt, Leila Mae Albury; broth- ers, Don McCall and Clementis McCall.
Jerome leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Kimberly Jones (Jason), Latoya Anderson (Chris) and Desiree Douglas; son, Jeremy McCall (Brittney); brothers, Kenneth McCall (Gail) and Rodney McCall (Kaneka); grandkids, Dymania, Tatiana, Emanuel, Caileito, Chrystal, Je- remy, Jr., Reashaun, Isiah, Leg- end and Chynah; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

MRS. MARY F. PETERSON
Mrs. Mary F. Peterson of Tampa, FL passed away on Tues- day, July 20, 2021. Funeral Serv- ices will be conducted on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Me- morial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Pastor Cleveland Lane, officiating. (MASKS ARE REQUIRED).
Mrs. Peterson was a native of Savannah, GA, and a resident of Tampa for 61 years. She attended Beach High School, in Savannah and was a member of First M. B. Church of Highland Pines in Tampa. She was employed as a Production Worker at Singleton Shrimp Company for 17 years.
Mrs. Peterson was called “Francis” by many and was loved by all. She loved the Lord and loved going to Church to Praise the Lord. When she was in good health, she would go to the nurs- ing homes to hold devotion, sing hymns and pray with the resi- dents. Anywhere the church went —- she was right there. Mrs. Peterson loved serving God and people. She also loved to cook. She made the best coconut cake and fried chicken in the world.
Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence Peterson, Jr.; mother, Olatha Herrera; father, Willie E. Everett; brothers, James E. Johnson and Lawrence Hypoli- tus, all of Savannah, GA; son, An- thony Peterson and daughter, Iva Peterson, both of Tampa, FL.
Mrs. Peterson leaves to cher- ish fond memories: sons, Clarence Peterson, III, and Coell Peterson (Carla) of Tampa, FL; daughter, Shirley Wentworth of Tampa, FL; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sis- ter, Rochelle Herrera of New York; brother, Marcell Herrera of New York; four aunts and one uncle, all of Savannah, GA.
