2021 BET Hip Hop Awards Nominees
Will Smith Just May Receive His First Oscar With His Performance In 'King Richard’
A SCENE FROM ‘KING RICHARD’
  Announced: Cardi B, Megan Thee
BET just announced the nominees for the 16th annual BET Hip Hop Awards ahead of the ceremony next month.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion lead the nominations for this year’s Hip Hop Awards, with nine nods each. What’s particularly impressive about Cardi’s list of nods this year is that she hasn’t even dropped or a mixtape or studio album, riding high off the suc- cess of her collaboration with Meg, “WAP.” Megan simi- larly dominated at the 2021 BET Awards earlier this year, having dropped both Good News and Suga in 2020.
Drake, meanwhile, gar- nered eight nominations across seven categories, in- cluding Hip Hop Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. His album Certified Lover Boy is

not nominated for Hip Hop Album of the Year, having missed the cut-off date for 2021’s ceremony, per BET. It’s likely Kanye West’s Donda, which released less than a week before CLB, also missed the cutoff.
Moneybagg Yo, Tyler, the Creator, Migos, Megan Thee Stallion, DJ Khaled,
21 Savage & Metro Boomin, and J. Cole all got nods for Hip Hop Album of the Year with their latest respec- tive releases. Lil Nas X also notched two nominations for his track “Montero (Call Me by Your Name),” while Tyler has rightfully gotten four nods fol- lowing the release of his latest album Call Me If You Get Lost.
Will Smith's "King Richard" is set to arrive on November 19th and will de- pict the story of Richard Williams, the father of Venus and Serena Williams.
It is based on “the journey of Richard Williams, an undeterred father instru- mental in raising two of the most extraordinarily gifted athletes of all time, who will end up changing the sport of tennis forever," says the stu- dios.
The case will star Smith as the title character while Saniyya Sidney plays Venus Williams and
Demi Singleton portrays Serena Williams. Aun- janue Ellis stars as their mother and tennis coach, Oracene “Brandy” Price.
Based on the Telluride pre- miere, The Los Angeles Times describes it as Will Smith's "most challenging role in two decades.” Smith may receive his first Oscar for his performance.
According to new reports, Beyonce is adding her touch to the King Richard biopic with a new musical selection for the film.
The cut, titled "Be Alive," is produced and co-written by Roc Nation signee DIXSON.
Kodak Black Expecting A Baby Girl With His Girlfriend
Cardi B isn't the only per- son who has exciting baby news today. Rapper Kodak Black is reportedly expecting his second child, according to his lawyer Bradford Cohen, who broke the news today.
The exclusive announce- ment was made by TMZ after hearing from Cohen, who claims that Kodak is expect- ing his second child, and his first daughter. His girlfriend, real estate agent Maranda Johnson, reportedly found out that she was pregnant in

"I had a show at Rolling Loud (festival), and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out," he told TMZ about his performance in July in Miami.

The pink diamond is report-
edly worth $24 million and was surgically implanted in the rapper's face earlier this year.
In January, he tweeted about buying a pink diamond. "I've been paying for a nat-
ural pink diamond from Elliot for years now," he tweeted. "This one Stone cost so much I've been paying for it since 2017. That was the first time I saw a real natural pink dia- mond. A lot of M's in my face."
April, which means that Kodak's baby girl will arrive in either late 2021, or early 2022.
Kodak and Maranda have reportedly been dating on-
and-off for the last little while after meeting each other four years ago. They decided this year that they wanted to have a child, and this is their first baby together.
