The week of September 12, 2021 to September 18, 2021 has been designated as Na- tional Assisted Living Week by the National Center for As- sisted Living (NCAL). The ob- jective is to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individ- uals with disabilities.
Angela Vickers, owner of Covenant Homemakers and Companions, LLC, is eager to celebrate the week and bring pertinent informa- tion to the public.
Covenant Homemakers and Companions, LLC em- ploys individuals to do house- hold chores and provide companionship to the elderly and adults with disabilities.
“This year’s National As- sisted Living Week is very spe- cial because of the unprecedented challenges of the past year,” said Vickers. “The theme, ‘Compassion, Community, Caring,’ reflects the hard work and dedication of all the caregivers in assisted living communities and high- lights the importance of family and remaining connected to those you love.”
“We encourage members of the community to keep in touch and visit Covenant Homemakers and Compan- ion’s social media pages to stay informed during National As- sisted Living Week,” Vickers continued. “Engaging with residents at local facilities
