  Two Women Shot; Man Barricades Himself In Home
   Man Jailed For Attacking Boss For Having To Re-Clean Work Area
  Police Search For Armed Robbery Suspect
 Detectives are attempting to identify a man caught on sur- veillance committing a crime. The first incident took place last month.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, on February 15th, one of the victims was at La Mexi- cana Market, 2002 E. Fletcher Avenue, when a Black man approached him, snatched his cash and ran.
On March 2nd, a second person became a victim while at the Citgo, 2030 E. Fletcher Avenue.
In the second case, the victim had just cashed his paycheck inside the business. He was putting the money in his pocket as he walked out of the store. The man followed the victim north on 22nd Street, and snatched the money from his hand as he approached Bearss Avenue.

A deputy observed the
struggle, and went to inter- vene. However, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle driven by someone who said he was unaware of the inci- dent.

     The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently in- vestigating a double shooting. The suspect reportedly barri- caded himself inside the Town N’ Country home.
According to police, deputies responded to the home at the corner of Wind- surfer Way and Ranger Drive around 5 a.m., Thursday. When they arrived, they dis- covered two women had been shot.
The women, who were discovered outside the home,
were transported to a local hospital. The suspect is said to have barricaded himself in- side the home.
A spokesman for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said the SWAT Team and Hostage Negotiating Team were on scene. “It is a very fluid situation and we are trying to get the man to surrender to police.”
Several residents in the neighborhood were evacu- ated for safety reasons. The investigation is ongoing.
 Police Investigate Shooting Death Of 28-Year-Old Man
LEONARD EDWARDS
A 63-year-old man was ar- rested after he allegedly at- tacked his supervisor. He is facing an aggravated battery charge.
According to Tampa Police, the victim was supervising a group of temporary employ- ees at the Amalie Arena, Sun- day shortly after 5 a.m. She reportedly instructed Leonard Edwards to re- clean the area he was working in. Edwards reportedly be- came enraged and punched the woman in the face, knock- ing her to the ground.
After she was on the ground, he began bashing her head on the ground. Several other employees witnessed the attack. Edwards then fled the scene.
The victim was disoriented after the attack to the point that she could not attempt to identify Edwards as her at- tacker.
She was transported to a local hospital with several large lacerations to the back of her head, and a possible frac- tured skull. Her injuries are not considered life-threaten-
ingP. olice arrested Edwards and charged him with aggra- vated battery, and violation of probation for a sex crime. He is being held without bond.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is currently in- vestigating a fatal shooting. The incident took place ear- lier this week.
According to reports, of- ficers responded to a call of shots fired on 7th Avenue South, near 25th Street. When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male lying in the road. He died at the scene.
The victim has been iden- tified as 28-year-old Roder- ick Jackson, of St. Petersburg.
