Rajon Rondo Sued By Woman Over Alleged Parking Lot Attack
RAJON RONDO
A woman who says she lives in the same apartment complex as Rajon Rondo in Los Angeles claims she was at- tacked by Rondo and his girl- friend earlier this year, and she has filed a lawsuit against the NBA veteran.
According to a lawsuit ob- tained by TMZ, Toktam Jor- shari claims Rondo was parked in a handicapped spot on June 28 at their apartment complex when she pulled into the space next to him to unload a piece of furniture she had purchased. She said she inad- vertently blocked Rondo’s Rolls Royce SUV in, which led to him aggressively confronting her. Jorshari claims the situa- tion quickly escalated and be- came physical.
Jorshari says Rondo im- mediately shouted at her, “B— why do you think you can park here?” He then allegedly shoved her against her vehicle in a manner that was “so vio- lent and forceful that [Jor- shari’s] sandal shoe flew off her foot and her keys which she held in her hand flew out of her hand and broke into two pieces when the key fell onto the ground.”
Once Jorshari was on the ground, she says Rondo’s girl- friend repeatedly attacked her and hit her in the head and upper-body area. She says the incident was captured on sur- veillance footage that she has in her possession.
Jorshari is suing both Rondo and his girlfriend for assault and battery, infliction of emotional distress, and con- spiracy. She’s seeking unspeci- fied damages in excess of $1 million.

Who Could Compel Americans
To Get COVID-19 Vaccine
The U.S. began rolling out the first COVID-19 vaccine last week, from Pfizer and BioN- Tech, while the FDA weighs approval of the Moderna vac- cine. The next challenge is to get the majority of Americans to take the vaccine. A Yahoo Finance/Harris Poll survey conducted in October found that 63% of Americans have concerns about taking a vac- cine, and 77% said they would comparison-shop.
Perhaps pro athletes could also help.
A new survey from Harris Poll asked 2,002 American adults whether seeing certain star athletes get the vaccine would improve their own will- ingness to get one.
When given a long list of fa- mous athletes, Michael Jor-

dan came out on top, with 25% of all respondents saying that seeing him get the vaccine would make them likelier to get it.
LeBron James, Serena Williams, and Tom Brady were all virtually just as popu- lar, with 24% each. Jordan was even more popular with men (30%), and Jordan, Brady, and Steph Curry were all particularly popular with the 35-49 age demo- graphic (35% each).
