Lakers, Kyle Kuzma Agree To 3-Year, $40M Extension
2020 NBA Christmas Day Schedule
Los Angeles Lakers for- ward Kyle Kuzma has agreed to a multiyear exten- sion, the team announced Sunday.
Sources told ESPN the contract is worth $40 million over three years and includes a player option before the 2023-24 season. Kuzma, 25, finalized talks on his exten- sion Sunday, sources said.
In a rare non-max rookie extension that includes a player option, the deal allows for Kuzma to become an un- restricted free agent in his

prime at 28 years old. That's a benefit should Kuzma out- perform his extension, which starts with the 2021-22 sea- son.
12:00 p.m.: Pelicans vs. Heat (ESPN)
Zion Williamson makes his Christmas Day debut against the reigning Eastern Conference champions. Williamson and Bam Adebayo should be an explosive matchup between two of the game's most athletic big men.
2:30 p.m.: Warriors vs. Bucks (ABC) Stephen Curry returns to the Christmas
Day lineup after missing out last year with a wrist injury. Steph vs. Giannis Antetokoun- mpo should be an exciting game, especially considering the Warriors' reported interest in the Bucks star.
5:00 p.m.: Nets vs. Celtics (ABC)
Kyrie Irving will play his first game in Boston since leaving the franchise in 2019, though there won't be fans there to boo him mercilessly.
8:00 p.m.: Mavericks vs. Lakers (ABC) When Luka Doncic and LeBron James
get together on a basketball court, those games become instant classics.
Plus, the Lakers will want to establish them- selves against an up-and-coming contender in the Western Conference.
10:30 p.m.: Clippers vs. Nuggets (ESPN)
The Clippers will want revenge on the Nuggets after blowing a 3-1 series lead against Denver in last season's conference semifinals.
Gobert Agrees To 5-Year, $205M Extension With Jazz
All-NBA big man Rudy Gobert will sign a five-year, $205 million contract exten- sion with the Utah Jazz, he told ESPN after agreeing to the largest deal for a center in league history.
"It means that they be- lieve in me," Gobert told ESPN. "They believe in what we've been building over the years with this whole organi- zation, with Coach [Quin Snyder] and all the guys. For me, it's an incredible blessing. It's a very motivat- ing feeling to know that we all

share the same vision and we all share this goal for this state and for this franchise."
    Giannis Antetokounmpo
Signs $228M Extension
With Milwaukee Bucks
Giannis Antetokoun- mpo redoubled his commit- ment to the only N.B.A. franchise he has known by signing a five-year contract extension worth an estimated $228 million from the Mil- waukee Bucks.
Six days before a Dec. 21 deadline to either sign the so- called supermax extension or become an unrestricted free agent after this season, Ante- tokounmpo on Tuesday re- leased a statement via his social media channels pro- claiming himself “blessed to beabletobeapartoftheMil- waukee Bucks for the next 5

years.”
“This is my home, this is
my city,” Antetokounmpo wrote.
