Afternoon Shooting Leaves Innercity Man Dead
Tampa Police responded to the deadly shooting at the in- tersection of N. 18th Street and E. 19th Avenue shortly before noon on Monday.
Gang Member Given Prison Sentence For Possessing Gun
JEREMIAH BUTLER-JACKSON
A federal judge has sen- tenced a 20-year-old man to serve a prison sentence of more than 4 years. He was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.
District Judge William F. Jung sentenced Jere- miah Butler-Jackson, of Tampa, to four years and 2 months in prison. Butler- Jackson pleaded guilty on October 8, 2020.
According to court docu- ments and information pre- sented during the sentencing hearing, Butler-Jackson is known to law enforcement as a Progress Village gang mem- ber. His criminal history in- volves multiple crimes of violence, including shooting and robbery.
Deputies Investigate Fatal Shooting In Thonotosassa
The shooting took place in the parking lot of the ASI Land- scaping.
Detectives are investigat- ing a shooting that has left a Tampa man dead. The shooting took place at the intersection of N. 18th Street and E. 19th Avenue.
According to the Tampa Police, officers were dis- patched to the area in refer- ence to a man being injured. When they arrived at the scene, they found the man
deceased. He had suffered from gunshot wounds.
Detectives had not re- leased any additional infor- mation in the case.
The investigation is con- tinuing.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigat- ing a shooting that occurred last Friday. It took place dur- ing a holiday gathering at ASI Landscape Management, in Thonotosassa.
According to police, shortly after 4 p.m., on De- cember 18th, police received a 9-1-1 call in reference to shots being fired. When deputies arrived at ASI Landscaping Management, they discov- ered one person was suffering from gunshot wounds, The
unidentified man died at the scene.
Witnesses at the scene re- portedly told detectives that there was a verbal altercation that took place before the shooting occurred in the parking lot.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.

Man Gets More
On October 2, 2019, offi- cers observed that Butler- Jackson had posted a video on Instagram in which he posed with a handgun clipped to his waistband. A few min- utes later, officers observed Butler-Jackson in public wearing the same clothes as in the video.
When they attempted to detain him, he fled on foot, discarding the gun in the yard of a private residence as he ran. Officers caught Butler- Jackson and recovered the gun, which matched the one displayed in the Instagram video.
Than 10 Years As Drug Distributor
An Odessa man has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for distributing drugs.
District Judge Mary S. Scriven handed down a sen- tence of 10 years and 6 months to 31-year-old Aaron Moses. Moses was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and for possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to distrib- ute. Moses pleaded guilty on September 22, 2020.
According to court docu- ments, in October and No- vember of 2018, Moses and a co-conspirator distributed over 830 grams of crystal methamphetamine in Pasco County during multiple trans- actions with a confidential
source. Moses reportedly supplied the methampheta- mine to the co-conspirator at prearranged meeting loca- tions, who in turn, sold it to the confidential source.
Moses also sold cocaine and substances containing fentanyl and heroin to a con- fidential source in April of 2019. Upon executing a fed- eral search warrant at his res- idence on April 22, 2019, investigators recovered pow- der cocaine, heroin, crack co- caine, MDMA pills, oxycodone pills, multiple cut- ting agents, and a digital scale.
They also found a loaded shotgun and an AK-47 rifle in the master bedroom, a pistol in the living room, and loaded pistol inside a car parked, in- side the garage.
