13 Men Arrested During ‘Operation Guardians Of The Innocence IV’
  Killed Days Before
His Birthday
On Monday, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 13 men in connection with a child pornography investigation. The investigation concluded “Opera- tion Guardians Of The Inno- cence IV” initiative.
According to police, the in- vestigation was carried out by undercover detectives and the organization’s Computer Crimes Unit.
Shaun David Bonacci, 43, of Davenport. Following up on a tip, detectives searched Bonacci’s cell phone and lo- cated images of boys between the ages of 10 and 12-years old being sexually battered. Bonacci told detectives he emailed the photos to another unknown individual. He told detectives he is a former Air Force mechanic. Bonacci was charged with promoting child pornography possession of child pornography.
Henry Dunn, 47, of Win- ter Haven. Detectives searched Dunn’s electronic devices and located images and videos of children between the ages of 5 and 11-years old being sexually battered. Detectives also discov- ered child pornography images which Dunn had uploaded to Facebook.
Dunn was charged with 40 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography, promotion of child pornography, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jonathan Godwin, 20, of Winter Haven. Detectives searched Godwin’s electronic devices and located videos of children between the ages of 5 and 11-years old being sexually battered. Godwin told detec- tives he sometimes shared videos in chat groups on the KIK application. He was charged with 4 counts of possession of child pornography and 1 count of pro- motion of child pornography.
Silas Toussaint Harris,
27, of Lakeland. Detectives searched Harris’s electronic devices and located hundreds of videos of children being sexually battered, some as young as 12- months-old. Harris told detec- tives has viewed and shared child pornography on Twitter. Harris told detectives he works as a stockman for Walmart and is the assistant coach for the Lakeland Destroyers Little League football team. He was charged with 662 counts of en- hanced possession of child pornography.
Christian Martinez- Rivera, 30, of Haines City. De- tectives searched Martinez-Rivera’s cell phone and located images of children between the ages of 3 and 6-
dren as young as 8-12 months old. Tateshi told detectives he is employed as an UBER driver, and is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant. He was charged with 450 counts of enhanced posses- sion of child pornography, pos- session of cocaine, possession of a structure to manufacture drugs, cultivation of marijuana, and possession of drug para- phernalia.
Joquin Trejo, 44, of Bar- tow. Following up on a tip, de- tectives searched Trejo’s cell phone and located images and video files of children as young as 3-months old being sexually battered. He told detectives he is currently unemployed. Trejo is charged with 83 counts of en- hanced possession of child pornography.
Kevin Scott Woods, 39, of Polk City. Following up on a tip, detectives searched Woods’ cell phone and located porno- graphic (or nude) images of chil- dren as young as 6-years old. Woods told detectives he re- ceives $1450 a month from So- cial Security Disability Benefits. Woods was charged with 35 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography his crimi- nal history includes aggravated domestic assault, assault, grand theft, petit theft, and possession of marijuana.
Eddy Zumeta, Jr., 32, of Winter Haven. Following up on a tip, detectives searched Zumeta’s electronic devices and located images of children between the ages of 8 and 11- years old being sexually bat- tered. During the investigation, detectives discovered Zumeta also advertised online child pornography from his apart- ment. Zumeta told detectives he works as a lifeguard at Shades of Green Resort. He was charged with 20 counts of enhanced pos- session of child pornography and 1 count of promotion of child pornography.
As previously reported on November 21, 2020 Detectives from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Shawn Fitzgerald, a Lakeland High School teacher on Friday, November 20, 2020, and charged him with 408 counts of possessing child pornography.
Fitzgerald, a Lakeland res- ident, at the time of his arrest was the varsity soccer coach for Lakeland High School and a Youth Director at First United Methodist Church in Bartow.
Fitzgerald has been charged with an additional 389 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography. He re- mains in jail on a $3,985,000 bond.
   Detectives have made an ar- rest in a shooting that left a man dead days before his birthday. The shooting took place Mon- day.
The victim, 29-year-old An- tonio Long was at 1743 Yale St. S., in St. Petersburg, when he was fatally wounded. He would have celebrated his 30th birthday on December 27th.
According to police, Long and the suspect were known to each other. Long had reportedly allowed the suspect to stay at the location where the shooting took place.
Police said the two men be- came engaged in an altercation that led to the shooting. Detec- tives gathered information that

led them to 24-year-old Javier L. Evans. Evans was arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder Monday night.

Clifford Wayne Rogers,
40, of Bartow. While executing a search warrant at Rogers’ resi- dence, detectives located a tablet that contained 212 images of children being sexually battered, some as young as 1 to 3-years old. Detectives also located mar- ijuana in Rogers’ vehicle. He told detectives he was employed with Payne Heating and Cooling as a service technician.
He was charged with 212 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His criminal history includes a DUI and bomb threat.
Robert Thomas Schank,
47, of Davenport. Following up on a tip, detectives searched Schank’s electronic devices and located videos of children as young as 2-years old being sexu- ally battered. Schank told de- tectives he had shared these videos in chat groups on the KIK application. Schank told detec- tives he is the manager of a Bed Bath and Beyond store in Kissimmee. He was charged with 36 counts of enhanced posses- sion of child pornography.
Eugene Skaggs, Jr., 28, from Polk City. Following up on a tip, detectives searched Sk- aggs’ residence and seized 2 cell phones, two computers, a tablet, two smart watches, and storage devices. During an interview, Skaggs told detectives that he started to look at child pornogra- phy out of curiosity, and then he started sharing and trading im- ages and videos of children as young as 12-months old being sexually battered. He also told detectives he is employed with Watson Clinic. Skaggs is charged with promotion of child pornography, possession of mar- ijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

  Lake Wales Woman Faces Drug Charges
Police have arrested a 47- year-old woman and charged her in connection with an on- going drug investigation. The woman is a resident of Polk County and lives in Lake Wales.
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office High In- tensity Drug Trafficking Area (H.I.D.T.A) Task Force, mem- bers of Homeland Security In- vestigations (H.S.I) Tampa Office and U. S. Customs and Border Protection developed in- formation that Maria Rocio Gordillo was involved in the trafficking of methampheta- mine.
The investigation is a follow- up from the ongoing “Operation Meth Death Peddlers” investiga- tion where 44 suspects were ar- rested and 50 pounds of methamphetamine was seized in 2018 and 2019.
Gordillo was the live-in spouse of Otoniel Valdez- Mendoza, one of those arrested for conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine during Oper- ation Meth Death Peddlers.
Undercover detectives com- municated with Gordillo and arranged two separate metham- phetamine transactions. The first transaction occurred on De- cember 3rd; detectives purchased a kilogram of methamphetamine

(2.2 pounds) from Gordillo at her residence.
The 2nd transaction occurred on December 9th at her resi- dence. Gordillo gave the detec- tives three, one gallon sized bags that contained a crystal like sub- stance—a total of about 3 kilo- grams (6.6 pounds) that tested positive for methamphetamine.
Detectives also seized $4,100 U.S currency.
She was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine; possession of a structure/conveyance used to traffic in a controlled sub- stance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is currently being held in the Polk County Jail under a $71,000 bond.
