Former All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire Considering NBA Return
AMAR’E STOUDEMIRE
Amar’e Stoudemire
could be making his way to an NBA arena near you in the not- so-distant future, if he gets his way.
The last time we saw Stoudemire in the NBA was two years ago during the 2015-2016 season when he ap- peared in 52 games for the Miami Heat. Since then, he headed overseas to play for Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel.
Stoudemire will partici- pate in Ice Cube’s Big 3 league this summer and it sounds like he hopes that could serve as a stepping stone to an NBA return. During an interview with The Michael Kay Show, Stoudemire indi- cated he is in great physical condition and “training as if he were returning to the NBA.”

DWANE CASEY
Dwane Casey was fired as the head coach of the Toronto Raptors following a 59-win season, which was the best mark in franchise history. From the sound of it, he will not be on the unemployment line for long.
The Pistons have hired for- mer Memphis Grizzlies execu- tive Ed Stefanski to oversee the hiring of a new head coach and general manager, and De- troit’s top target is Casey.
Casey has been named a finalist for the NBA’s Coach of the Year Award, and the Rap- tors gave him an awkward congratulations for earning the honor. While Toronto was swept by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs, Casey is a respected coach who was largely able to turn things around in Toronto.
To Police After Arrest
Terrance Williams has a lot of explaining to do in the wake of his crash and ensu- ing arrest over the weekend, and even his own attorney admits the wide receiver was not entirely truthful with po- lice after it all went down.
Williams was arrested early Saturday morning for public intoxication after po- lice found his Lamborghini abandoned near a light pole. They traced the registration to Williams and found him riding an electric bicycle nearby. The 28-year-old was then arrested for public in- toxication, and he told police his friend, fellow NFL re- ceiver Kendall Wright, had been driving his Lamborgh-
