TIMBERLAND
Hip-Hop superproducer Timbaland is developing a new TV musical inspired by his own tough upbringing.
The artist, real name Timo- thy Mosely, has previously announced plans for his final album, titled Opera Noir, and he has decided to use the new material as a base for a musical of the same name.
The project, made in partner- ship with bosses at Leftfield Pictures, will follow a young musician as he struggles with poverty, substance abuse, and crime to climb his way to the top, reports Variety.com.
Timbaland, who has worked with the likes of Justin Tim- berlake, Jay Z, Missy El- liott, Madonna, and Aaliyah, will also serve as one of the executive producers on the project.

Start A Family At 50
The University of Georgia is again embattled in contro- versy with a rapper after stu- dents were disappointed in Fetty Wap’s delayed arrival for a $100,000 show.
As such, the university is withholding Fetty’s cash ac- cording to a University of Georgia spokesman.
According to reports in On- lineAthens, a school publica- tion, the University of Georgia agreed to pay the rapper $100,000 for a show that was to start at 8:45 P.M., but Fetty Wap didn’t appear on stage until 10 PM. Based on reports, UGA honored Fetty’s rider which was not nearly as exten- sive as Ludacris’.

The matriarch of the Jack- son clan put the pressure on Janet Jackson about having children, a relative of the pop diva told The Post on Thurs- day.
Katherine Jackson, 86, brought the subject of babies up last fall with daughter Janet, who turns 50 this year, the family source said.
“[Katherine Jackson] said to Janet, ‘You cannot af- ford to wait too much longer. I was already a grandma at your age,’ ” explained the source, who confirmed to The Post on Wednesday that Jackson is expecting her first child with her 41-year-old billionaire husband, Wissam Al Mana.

Denzel Washington’s Event Raises $17 Million For African American Museum
Zulu Nation Ousts Leader, Afrika Bambaataa
Friday, the Zulu Nation moved to distance itself from its scandal-scarred founder and accused pedophile Afrika Bambaataa — announcing it would bring in fresh leaders and devote new focus to vic- tims of abuse.
The group had rushed to Bambaataa’s defense when the child molestation claims against him were released March 31.
Bambaataa, who founded the international hip hop awareness group 40 years ago, dismissed the molestation claims against him as a gov- ernment conspiracy.
Certain members pressured Bambaataa to take some type of public action because they fear funding for Zulu Na-

When you have as much star power and influence as Den- zel and Pauletta Washing- ton and it’s put to good use, amazing things happen. While President Barack Obama was giving his final speech at the White House Correspon- dents’ dinner last Saturday night, the Washingtons were throwing a lavish party with some of Hollywood’s biggest names, all in support of the Smithsonian National Mu- seum of African American His- tory and Culture, which opens later this year.
The fundraiser was an effort to secure the final monies needed for the museum, and needless to say, when the Washingtons put out a call, their friends have no problem donating.
The museum’s total cost amounts to $540 million, and so far the government has con- tributed $270 million, with the remainder coming in from events like the Washing- tons’.
According to Variety, Satur- day night’s soiree raised $17 million and included a pledge of $10 million from Shonda Rhimes.
“There is such a historical significance to this project,’’ said Denzel Washington. “It means so much for our community, our country and to future generations.’’
Magic Johnson closed the event with words that I’m sure resonated with everyone in at- tendance: “We have to get everyone involved in this, making this a success.”
