Suspect Sought In Highland Pines Murder
Tampa Police Homicide de- tectives are trying to find wit- nesses that can aid their investigation into the shooting death of a man Saturday morning.
Police said they responded to a report of a person shot at 3016 North 49th Street. When they arrived, they found 30- year-old Charles Freeman suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and pro- nounced dead on arrival.
No information has been re- leased as to a motive for the shooting, and no suspect(s)

Warrants Issued For Two Men In Connection With Shooting

in a physical altercation with two men, Saunders, and an- other man identified as Shakorreaon Hall, 18.
Once the handgun was pro- duced, the victims fled the scene and were shot at several times as they ran away. The vic- tims allege Hall was the per- son with the gun who shot at them.
Police said Hall and one of the victims are acquaintances and this incident stemmed from a previous disagreement.
Arrest warrants have been is- sued for both Hall and Saun- ders. When arrested, they will be charged with aggravated as- sault, police said.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on October 23rd at 2:47 a. m., Markel Cobb, 14, was home alone when he heard noises downstairs and went down to see what was going on. Deputies said Cobb was approached by two males wearing masks.
Deputies said Cobb was shot four times before he ran back up the stairs and hid in a closet. The suspects reportedly took electronic devices from the home and fled out of the back sliding doors, going through the yard of a neighbor and leaving in a light green Volkswagen Bee- tle.
Cobb was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

USF Athlete Arrested
DEANGELO ANTOINE
Early Sunday morning, a Uni- versity of South Florida fresh- man receiver was arrested on felony charges of possessing a controlled substance.
Deangelo Antoine, 19, was released late Sunday on $2,000 bail, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies.
According to a USF spokes- person, Antoine’s vehicle was pulled over by campus police near USF Palm Drive and Fletcher Avenue. An officer searched the vehicle after de- tecting the smell of marijuana.
No marijuana was found, but an officer did find Xanax tablets that were not prescribed to An- toine. The possession charge is a third-degree felony.
Antoine has been suspended from all team activities, and he’s the third Bulls athlete to be ar- rested this month.
Benjamin Knox and Lamar Robbins were arrested hours after the football team’s October 10th win over Syracuse on charges of firing a gun on campus.
Antoine had previously played at Orlando’s Oak Ridge High School.

The Temple Terrace Police Department has issued war- rants in connection with a shooting. The incident took place early Sunday.
According to police, at ap- proximately 4:08 a.m., a verbal argument took place in the parking lot of McDonald’s 11707 N. 56th Street.
At some point during the al- tercation, one of the McDon- ald’s employees, identified as Jaylon Saunders, 18, pro- duced a handgun and the vic- tims fled the scene.
Police responded to the loca- tion in response to the sound of gunfire coming from the 11600 block of N. 56th Street. Police located two victims who had al- legedly been shot at.

Four Suspects In Custody After Pursuit Of Stolen Vehicle
A 2:30 a. m. Monday, Tampa Police reported that an officer saw a stolen SUV near Nebraska Avenue and Lake Avenue with four people in- side. After a pursuit, the officer notified air service and the TPD helicopter followed the SUV from the air.
The SUV reportedly traveled north and stopped behind the Korean First Presbyterian Church, 4307 Humphrey Street. The suspects fled north into a wooded area with deep, swampy water.
Two of the suspects were ar- rested quickly and officers fol- lowed the other suspects into
the woods with K-9 dogs. One of the suspects allegedly tried to drown a police dog and fight with an officer. That officer de- fended himself by shooting the suspect, who was taken to a local hospital with life threat- ening injuries.
He has been identified as 18-year-old Kobvey Ig- buhay.
The other suspects are Do- minic Robles, 18; Shakira Rodriguez, 18, and an unidentified 16-year-old.
The fourth suspect was lo- cated and reportedly refused to come out. At 6:23 a. m., she was arrested in the woods.

Deputies Ask For Help In Identifying Robbery Suspects
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 10:26 p. m. September 24th, a man was approached from be- hind as he was making a night deposit at an ATM at the Bank of America, 300 South Par- sons Avenue.
Deputies said the man de- manded money, and he victim turned over the cash he was depositing.
The incident was recorded by surveillance cameras, and the suspect is described as 5’11” and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black beanie cap. Black sweatshirt with letters NYC on the front.

On October 24th, the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on the identity of suspects being sought for the break-in of Shooting Sports, 7811 North Dale Mabry, last week. In that break-in, author- ities said 42 guns were re- moved from the business.
Detectives were able to locate and arrested four brothers for the burglary.
Three of the brothers, Xavier Navarrette, 22; Emilio Navarrette, 21, and Gabriel Navarrette, 24,
were arrested in Hillsborough County.
The fourth brother, Mario Navarrette, 25, was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, and will be returned to Hillsbor- ough County.
All four brothers have been charged with armed burglary, possession of burglary tools felony criminal mischief, and grand theft second degree.
Detectives are following up with several search warrants in an effort to locate the stolen guns.
