Tampa friends of a Geor- gia mother who is suspected of fatally shooting her two adult children before killing herself, sometime Wednes- day are devastated.
Dr. Marsha Edwards, 58; Erin Edwards, 20; and Christopher Edwards, Jr., 24, were found inside their Atlanta suburb 4 story- townhome Wednesday when police entered.
Police had been asked to check on the family, by the ex-husband and father of the victims, when Christopher, Jr., did not report to work.
Christopher and Erin died of gunshot wounds, and Marsha died from an appar- ent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Marsha Edwards was the ex-wife of Dr. Christo- pher Edwards, an orthope- dic surgeon and the chairman of Atlanta's hous- ing authority.
“Dr. Christopher Ed- wards went to the home and was given the horrific news.
“Dr. Edwards, his ex- tended family and friends are in a state of grief and shock, and privacy of the family is paramount as arrangements are being made," Jeff Dick- erson, a spokesman for Ed- wards, said in a statement. Memorial services are set for Wednesday.
