Track Star Cameron Burrell’s Cause Of Death Determined
CAMERON BURRELL
Track star Cameron Bur- rell died by suicide, a medical examiner ruled this week.
The cause of death for the 26-year-old godson of Olympic track and field legend Carl Lewis was listed as a “gunshot wound of the head,” according to TMZ. Burrell died in a Houston parking garage on Monday (August 9), records indicate.
Burrell was a former Uni- versity of Houston champion sprinter. According to the uni- versity’s athletic department, where Burrell’s Olympic gold medal-winning father serves as the head track coach, made the initial announcement.
Burrell’s father, Leroy Burrell, released this state- ment:
"My family is extremely saddened with the loss of our son, Cameron, last night. We are going through profound sorrow and ask that all of our friends, extended University of Houston family and the track and field community in the U.S. and abroad allow us to gather with our closest family and friends."
BEAUTY UNLIMITED
DIANA
It is indeed a pleasure to reveal to you this week’s Beauty Un- limited feature, Diana. Diana can be very casual when she is into her down-time, and she has no problem winding down with friends and family. This young lady is definitely going places, and we appreciate her allowing us to feature her as this week’s Spot- light feature.
And Has Ups And Downs,
Jameis Winston Makes
Some Plays In Relief
Basically, the New Or- leans Saints have two quar- terbacks that can thrill you one moment and make you cringe the next.
The Saints probably did- n't get a quick answer on their quarterback position Saturday night. Taysom Hill started and had a cou- ple nice plays, and some big mistakes including an inter- ception.
Jameis Winston came in next and while he did throw an interception (this is Winston, after all), he made

some plays on a touchdown drive.
You'd have to give the first round of the quarter- back battle to Winston.
Saints And Star Wideout
Michael Thomas Are
Working On Their
Issues – Not A Trade
Despite a rocky few weeks of speculation that the New Orleans Saints and star wide- out Michael Thomas could be headed for a trade, sources have told Yahoo Sports that Thomas and Saints head coach Sean Payton have had positive talks and are not seeking a split.
Two sources familiar with the talks said Payton and Thomas had a recent meet- ing to clear the air over two lingering issues: comments Payton made regarding his frustration over the offsea- son timing of Thomas’s ankle surgery; and a subse- quent social media post from Thomas that suggested the wideout was now at odds

with the team.
“They had a good talk
about [the issues],” one source said. “I think they both believe it’s not anything that has to go any further than what is already out there. There was some frus- tration from both viewpoints and that was the point of the meeting.”
