MR. HERMAN WILLIAMS, SR.
A Homecoming Celebration for Mr. Herman Williams, Sr., of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020, will be held on Saturday, February 29th, 11 a. m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tampa, FL, Rev. Timothy Lancaster, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Herman was born on March 10, 1942, in Tampa, Florida. He was a member of The Rock of Es- cape Church. He was also a member of the Tampa Park Apartments Community Com- mittee. He retired from the In- ternational Longshoreman Association working as a super- visor for 35 years for the local union #759. He was a kind- hearted person and a devoted fa- ther. He was well loved in his community and supported those in need. In his free time, he loved watching football and western shows.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Annie Floyd Williams; brothers, William Davis, Rudolph Williams, Eldren Smith, Henry Davis and twin brother, Herbert Williams and aunt, Dorothy Newton “Dot.”
He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with: his wife, Lillie Mae Williams; chil- dren, Rudolph Williams, Sr. (Catherine), Herman K. Williams (Sal), Algernon Williams, Herman Williams, Jr., Chinetta Williams, Annetta Bryant and Eva Orvet Martin (Cheno); grandchildren, Keonna Broussard, Dewanna Broussard, Tashana Martin, Herman Williams, III, Andrew Bryant, Jr., Crystal Harris, Otis Green, Jr. Chantavia Limehouse, Fred- die Martin, III, Sherman K. Williams, Herman K. Williams, Jr., Johnny Williams, Derrick Williams, Temika Williams, Rudolph Williams, Jr. and Yvonne Williams; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Eva Davis and Mary Francis Williams; apartment manager and friend, Yolanda Anthony Amos; best friend, James Free- man; and all of his Tampa Park friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 28th from 5 to 7 p. m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p. m.

BRO. EDDIE JAMES SMITH, JR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Bro. Eddie James Smith, Jr. of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020, will be held Saturday, Feb- ruary 29th, 2 p. m. at Grace Mary M. B. Church, 3901 N. 37th Street, Elder James R. Reed, Jr., pastor, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Eddie James Smith, Jr., was the third child born to the late, Deacon Eddie J. Smith, Sr. and Bernida V. Randolph Smith. He was educated in the public school system of Hillsborough County, graduating from Mid- dleton Senior High School, Class of 1961. Eddie retired from Seaboard Coast Line Railroad, where he was employed as a yard master.
Eddie came to Christ as a very young person and was bap- tized at Grace Mary M. B. Church. He was formerly mar- ried to Sister Ida M. Smith. Eddie spent his life on the golf course, Rogers Park and was there as a child when it was con- structed. He was amongst the first caddies hired when they segregated the golf course and opened for African Americans in 1952. He later became a deco- rated competitor who helped put the course on the national map.
He was preceded in death by: his son, Eddie J. Smith, III; par- ents; brother, Deacon David Smith.
He leaves to cherish his pre- cious memories with: his chil- dren, Captain Reginald L. Smith (Traci); daughter, Bernida Smith (Gene) and like a daugh- ter, LaTarra Bush (JaQan); grandchildren, Reginald, Jr. Regan J., Eddie J., IV, Jermaine, Imani and Jermia Smith, Telicia, Michelle and Eugene Jones, Jr., Ja’ Quan Peoples, Tamaya Williams, Latosha and Tiffany Young and Isaac Patrick; 10 sib- lings, Drs. A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Jerome Willie Merritt, Sr., of Tampa, who passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020, will be held on Saturday, Febru- ary 29th, 2 p. m. at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 1605 N. Nebraska Ave., Elder Ben- jamin Curry, pastor. The inter- ment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Jerome was born September 9, 1958 in Tampa, Florida, to his late father, Willie James Merritt and mother, Mae Merritt. He enjoyed watching sports, barbecuing, spending time with his family and work-
ing.He was preceded in death by his father, and sister, Linda Merritt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward Strother and Ernestine Upshaw; and sis- ter-in-law, Ernestine Arnold.

MRS. JOYCE VIDAL-KNOX
Mrs. Joyce L. Vidal-Knox, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sun- day, February 16, 2020. The Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, 11 AM, at Joy Tabernacle Cathedral, 2716 N. 34th St., Arch- bishop Clarence Davis, pastor. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Joyce was born on January 5, 1987, in Tampa, Florida to the late Maria Vidal and Kim Davis. She attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and was currently studying and training to obtain her CDL license. She was a fun and loving person to be around and brought laughter to many of her family and friends. She will best be remem- bered by her sense of humor, her laugh, but most of all the love that she had for her family.
Mrs. Knox was joined in holy matrimony to James Knox, Jr. on April 25, 2016. After living in Quincy for a while, Joyce and James moved to Tampa where they would continue to share their love with one another.
She was preceded in death by: her mom, Maria; step-father, Mario Lopez; paternal grand- parents, Mayco and Georgia Lee Davis.
Joyce leaves to cherish lov- ing and precious memories with: her loving husband, James Knox, Jr.; children, Kiara Davis, Jehad Dolcine, Tykera and Shak- era Vidal, and Jeremiah Mathis; dad, Kim Davis; sister, Kimberly Davis (Steven); brothers, Anto- nio (Rachel) Davis, Kim “Ju- nior” Davis, (Aurora), and Terry Davis (Tina); grandfather, Nel- son Vidal; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other sorrowing rela- tives and friends.

MRS. BROWNIE MAE HERBIN
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Brownie Mae Herbin of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, will be held on Saturday, February 29th, 11 a. m., at Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 1225 N. Nebraska Ave., Dr. B. R. Fulton, Jr., pastor, offi- ciating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Brownie Mae Herbin was born April 25, 1921 in Donal- sonville, Georgia to the late Boston and Hattie White. She was an active member of Greater Mount Moriah P. B. Church for over 60 years. She was known as the “Cake Lady” around Tampa.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Mr. Willie Herbin and her only child, Mr. Clarence W. “School Boy” White. Throughout her life, Brownie Mae gave of herself to her family, friends and community.
