Mother Irene Andrews West of Temple Terrace, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Saturday, Febru- ary29that2p.m.atSt.JohnPro- gressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 Chipco St., with Pastor John Lang, officiating and Elder Timothy J. Kemp, eu- logist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mother Irene Andrews West was born in Beatrice, AL on Au- gust 22, 1934. She was married to Samuel West and they were blessed with 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls. They shared joys and sorrows for 61 years. She was a faithful member and Mother of the church at Peace Progressive initially under the leadership of Elder Joseph Jefferson, as well as Elder Benjamin Adams, Elder Willie Gibson and presently Elder Timothy J. Kemp.
Mother West was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend and always had a smile to share.

Obdulia “Nicole” Henderson was born on October 10, 1972, in Tampa, Florida. Nicole departed this earthly life on Sunday, Febru- ary 16, 2020. She was born to Linda L. Willams and Percy Hen- derson. She worked as a CNA until she became disabled. When you saw Nicole she always had a smile on her face and had a sense of humor. She was well liked, en- joyed being around people, loved music, going out to eat and spend- ing time with family and friends. She will be missed. Nicole gradu- ated from Hillsborough High School in 1990.

Ms. Thatyana LaVonna Jester- Garvin was born on October 31, 1973 in Tampa, Florida to Ms. Helen Jester. Ms. Garvin was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. She was a resident of Riverview, Florida and was an employee with Pro- gressive Casualty Insurance Company as a Senior Processing Specialist. Simple things such as butterflies and ’80s music al- ways made her smile,
Ms. Garvin is survived by: two loving and devoted daughters, Kiara L. Garvin and Kaylee G. Garvin, as well as a host of lov- ing family and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. James Finlayson, Jr. of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020, will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2 p. m., at New Bethel Progressive Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 2914 E. North Bay Street, Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Reginal T. Webb, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida, with Military Honors conducted by the U. S. Army Honor Guards.
Mr. James Finlayson, Jr. was born on March 11, 1926 in Lamont, Florida to the parent- age of James and Rosebud Fin- layson.
After serving in the United States Army, he was employed with Olmond Road Pavement as a Supervisor for 35 years prior to his retirement.
Mr. James was united in holy matrimony to Mary Jane Finlayson for 64 years. He en- joyed fishing and taking care of his family.
Mr. Finlayson was preceded in death by: his 2 daughters, Mary Hitchman and Stella Fin- layson; parents, James and Rosebud Finlayson; 3 brothers and 7 sisters.
Mr. James Finlayson, Jr. leaves to cherish memories of him with: his loving and devoted wife, Mary Jane Finlayson; 1 daughter, Ondria Finlayson (Shawn); 2 grandsons, David McCalister (Valerie) and Samuel Childs, III; 3 granddaughters, Calvinia Scott, English Maxwell (Sean) and Soraya Lloyd (Craig); a host of great grand- children, nieces and nephews; 2 brothers-in-law, David Andrews (Emma) and Arthur Andrews; a host of other relatives, friends and church family.
