35th Annual Santa Fest And Christmas Parade This Weekend
HART Service Changes Begin Sunday, December 4

...Performs during Santa Fest in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park
The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) has announced service changes will go into effect on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Highlights include the Route 96 Weekday In-Towner current routing will become permanent from a detour implemented back on October 31 and Route 97 Saturday In-Towner will be operating every 30 minutes from 11 a. m. - 7 p. m.
Some changes will also make schedules more reliable with adjustments designed to improve service while increasing the efficiency of the system.
Routes with changes are: 96, 97, 24X 25LX, and 37.
Greenridge Estate And Delaney Creek Association Meeting
Greenridge Estate and Delaney Creek monthly association meeting will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at 7 p. m.
The meeting is held the first Tuesday of each month at the Emanuel P. Johnson Community Center, 5858 South 78th Street Tampa, 33619. All concerned residents are invited to attend. Our Mission, "We, the residents of Greenridge and Delaney Creek, envision a community where people have a strong sense of security and everyone takes pride in where they live."
Community Christmas
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Beta Sigma Zeta Chapter, will host its “Community Christmas Get Engaged” event on Saturday, December 10, 2016, 1-4 p. m.
There will be gifts for children, fun activities and yummy food. Come out, bring children and enjoy yourselves.
The event will be held at the Zeta House, 2605 21st Avenue E, Tampa, 33605. Zeta Myeesha Harris, President, Zeta Regina Matthews, Chairperson.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is Friday evening.
The City of Tampa's Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 6 p. m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 with the high-energy sounds of the 10-piece horn band, Late Night Brass. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and snuggle in and enjoy the sounds of the season.
The Magic 94-9 Morning Show's Chadd & Kristi will host Tampa's Tree Lighting Ceremony, and will make one lucky person's holidays merry and bright with the $1,000 Se- cret Santa Giveaway con- test! The Chick Fil-A Cows will be handing out free Chick Fil- A sandwiches while supplies last.
Tampa's first family, The Buckhorns, will officially light the 30-foot glittering Christmas Tree at approxi- mately 7:50 p. m.
Immediately following the tree lighting will be a free movie in the park featuring the delightfully funny, holiday gem A Christmas Story.
Santa Claus comes to town on Saturday, December 3, 2016 during the 35th Annual
Santa Fest and Christmas Pa- rade!
The parade steps off at 11 a. m. and features grand, colorful floats from Tampa's unique and diverse Krewes, dance troops, marching band, crazy characters, and of course Santa Claus! The parade be- gins at Madison and Pierce Streets, and ends at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
Parade viewers are encour- aged to arrive by 9 a. m. for ease in parking and to get a good spot along the parade route.
After the parade, the fun continues in Curtis Hixon Wa- terfront Park with Santa Fest. The little elves get a free keep- sake photo with Santa spon- sored by the Friends of Tampa Recreation; continuous holi- day entertainment featuring the Tampa Gym & Dance Show Stars, Jordan Williams, Mary Jo's Per- forming Arts Academy, Blake High School Choir and the City of Tampa Pre-School Ballet.
Plus, there will be interac- tive games, bounce houses, a rock wall, make-n-take crafts, and giveaways. The festival continues until 4 p. m.
The Howard W. Blake Class of 1967 will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, December 3, 2016, 11 a. m. at the home of King Davenport, 4604 Riverhills Dr., Temple Terrace (33617).
All class members are asked to be present and on time as there are matters of importance to be dis- cussed.
