Documentary About Sammie Davis, Jr. Set Film Fest
The 53rd annual Chicago International Film Festival announced a preview of the first 20 films confirmed out of some 120 feature films and shorts planned for this year's festival which runs from Oc- tober 12-26.

Tatyana Ali, Jasmine Guy and Kim Fields have been tapped to star with Mindy Sterling, Dan Lau- ria and Brendan Fehr in an upcoming Lifetime Christ- mas movie.

Soul II Soul Singer Melissa Bell, 53, Has Died
Alexandra Burke has announced the death of her mother, Melissa Bell, 53.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 28, vowed to continue with the entertainment show in tribute to her late mother, who she described as beauti- ful, funny and loving.
Melissa joined British group Soul II Soul in 1993 and sang on the track Wish which appeared on their greatest hits album.
She continued to record and tour with the group through until 1995 when she left to pursue a solo career.
The singer went on to re- lease four singles in 1997 - Rumbled Sex, Surrender, Mixed Up, and Nothing
