Floyd Mayweather won “the money fight” on Satur- day and is now poised to enter a new arena: the billion- aire athletes club.
Mayweather is expected to bring in over $300 million for his fight against Conor McGregor, the MMA fighter he beat in 10 rounds.
The boxing superstar — he now boasts a 50-0 record — has already grossed a re- ported $700 million in his ca- reer from fight purses, which include money from pay-per- view sales, ticket sales and fight endorsements.
After this fight, May- weather should join Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods as the first three ath- letes to make more than $1 billion, said Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of May- weather Promotions.
“I don’t think he’s done too bad in his career,” Ellerbe added.

Those endorsement deals helped him break into the bil- lionaire’s club, as well as his ownership of the Charlotte Hornets. In 2015, he made Forbes’ list of billionaires for the first time.
Tiger Woods was also on the exclusive list, at least for a time.

Conor McGregor Issued Two- Month Medical Suspension After TKO
FLOYD MAYWEATHER AND CONOR MCGREGOR
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has issued a two- month medical suspension to Conor McGregor after his TKO loss to Floyd May- weather in the boxing ring last weekend.
McGregor (21-3) has been suspended from competition through Oct. 26 and is to re- frain from "contact" until Oct.
11.The term "suspension" might draw public attention, but this is a standard regula- tory practice in combat sports. McGregor's two- month medical suspension figures to have zero impact on his next fight.
The 29-year-old UFC champion drew praise for his professional boxing debut against Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs), who surpassed Rocky Marciano's land- mark undefeated boxing record of 49-0. May- weather, who retired imme- diately after the fight, received no medical suspension from the commission.
