MR. OSCAR LEON GOODWIN ‘LEON’
The visitation for Mr. Oscar Leon Goodwin “Leon” of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017, will be held on Friday, June23rd from5to7p.m.at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tampa, FL 33610, Rev. Christopher Jarnegan, officiat-
ing.Oscar Leon Goodwin was born on April 12, 1936 in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Ashley Goodwin and Jerzy Williams.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Ashley Goodwin; and grandson, Dwayne Good- win.
He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with: his loving wife, Betty Joe Goodwin; children, Reginald Goodwin, Anthony Rainey, Terence Good- win, Marjorie Driscoll and Phyl- lis Bignall; grandchildren, Nathan, Tiana and Shawn Good- win, Christina and Elijah Driscoll, Bianca, Breanna and Brandon Bignall; sisters, Shirley Richards, Setira Tomlin- son, Claudeth Cousins, Valerie Allen and Faithlyn Wright; brothers, Selvin Robinson “Ruddy” and Trevor Goodwin; over fifty nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The wake service will begin at 6 p. m. family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home for the service.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Paulette Whitehead- Pearson of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017, will be held Sat- urday, June 24th, 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St., Rev. S. Evan Burrows, pastor, officiating.
Paulette was born Septem- ber 1, 1948 in Woodbury, Geor- gia to the late Willie Whitehead and Inez Slaton-Walthall. She was a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill. Paulette attended the Eva Huggins Min- istries.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Phillip A. Pearson; and mother, Inez Sla- ton-Walthall.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her children, Paula M. Whitehead and Candis Alexis Pearson; grandchildren, Ancel Martinez- Simmons, Rekeisae Hamilton, Xavier Pierre Whitehead, Kaven E. MR. NICHOLAS AARON PHILLIPS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Nicholas Aaron Phillips of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017, was held Tuesday, June 20th, 11 a. m. at Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Elder Marria, offi- ciating.
Nicholas was born on De- cember 31, 1996 in Cincinnati, OH. He was a member of Pen- tecostal Church of God. He en- joyed video games and playing basketball.
He was preceded in death by: grandfather, Jessie H. James.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories with: his father, Tony Phillips; mother, Charisse James Oliver (Franklin); brothers, Preston A. Phillips and Taylor A. Phillips; grandmother, Rutha James; sister-in-law, Jamecia Phillips; niece, Marley R. Phillips; a host of aunts, un- cles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The visitation was held Tuesday, June 20th at Aikens Funeral Home.
MR. STANLEY T. TURNER
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Stanley T. Turner of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017, will be held Saturday, June 24th, 11 a. m. at First Bap- tist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., Dr. Samuel Maxwell, Sr., Senior Teaching Pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Mr. Stanley T. Turner was born to the union of Mr. Essic Turner and Carrie Lee Corbin on March 12, 1927. He was edu- cated in the school system of Reynolds, GA. He was a long- time member of First Baptist Church of Progress Village and a member of the #1 Usher Board. He was a longtime resi- dent of the Progress Village community area.
He was preceded in death by: his five brothers and three sisters, Emmett, Grady, James Lamar, Charlie, and Willie Corbin and Annie Lee Ethriedge, Lizzie Gaston and Minnie Ray Montford.
He leaves to mourn: his wife, Ernestine Turner; and six children from previous mar- riage, Essic Turner and Char- lotte Mathis (Lawrence); primary caregivers, Larry Turner, Cheryl Hamilton, Car- olyn Turner Perkins, all of Tampa, FL and Eugenia Turner of Fayetteville, NC; six step- children, Berthenia Lamb (Otis) of Ft. Worth, TX, Veron- ica Jones-Johnson (Larry) of Fayetteville, GA, Robert Bell (Loreta) of Sacramento, CA; Don Simmons, Sr. (Maryann) of Lewisville, TX, Ernest Jones (Sylvia) of Newport News, VA and Michael Jones (Sharlene) of Denton, TX; four sisters-in- law, Minnie Langston, Wilma Shivers of Los Angeles, CA, Eloise Griffin, and Corine Daniely; two special nephews, James Robert Corbin and Khord Dennis; one special niece, Dean Walker (Solomon); cousin, Rosa McGhee; a host of grands and great- grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends.

Homegoing Services for LaShonda Catrice Rasberry who passed away, June 16, 2017, will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11 a. m. at Tabernacle of Hope, 6907 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, Florida 33604, Pastor Kenneth Stewart; Pastor A. D. Shaw, Shekinah Glory Cathedral COGIC, officiating. Interment will be made at Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
LaShonda was born Septem- ber 29, 1969 to the late Harry Bradberry and the late Cynthia Young in St. Petersburg, Florida. LaShonda, “Big Pumpkin,” was a very loving and kind woman; she would give you her last. She never cared to argue with any- one, instead she would respond with “I love you.”
LaShonda gave her life to Christ. She was a member of Without Walls, serving under Pastor Paula White for many years. In March 2017, she started attending Shekinah Glory Cathe- dral COGIC, under the leader- ship of Pastor A. D. Shaw.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and grandpar- ents, Josie Mae Wright, Em- manuel Wright, Tim Bradberry, Hattie Mae Bradberry and Pink Sue Walker.
She leaves to mourn her passing: sons, Xavier Crawford, Aramis (Maslehka) Edwards, Bobby Simmons, Warner Robins, GA, and Idris Peeples; daughters, Khadijah Lee and IsIs Peeples; husband, Joseph Flow- ers; grandchildren: Aramis Jr., Malik, Kevin, Isaiah, Warner, Araiah and Skye; siblings, Christopher Rasberry, Eddie Lee Young, David Grimsley, and Pa- trece Bradberry; aunts, Betty (Santiago) Vasquez, Eleanor Jef- ferson, Sandra Clark, Mary Parker, Odell Harrison, Julian Harrison, Susie Mae Williams; uncles, Terry Bradberry, Mack Anderson, Charlie Anderson, Ben (Pamela) Graham, Horace (Shaun) Moore, Leo (Judi) Thomas, Tim (Terri) Fuller, Charles (Ethel) Thomas; mother/grandmother, Kathleen Bristol; and a host of cousins and special friends.
