Driver In Fatal Crash Faces Homicide Charges

A 28-year-old Tampa driver involved in a fatal acci- dent last Wednesday morning is facing several charges. The accident took place at the in- tersection of E. Adamo Drive and Falkenburg Road, shortly before 3:30 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Johnathan Nicholas Honza, 28, of Brandon, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet SS in the center lane of Adamo Drive ap- proaching Falkenburg Road. Dontae Jamil Hill, 25, of Tampa, was driving a 2005 Acura TSX southbound in the inside left turn lane on Falkenburg Road.

Both Honza and Hill were transported to Tampa Gen- eral Hospital. Hill died a short time later. Honza was listed in serious condition.
Investigators stated in re- ports that Honza was sus- pected of being under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested on Friday and charged with vehicular homi- cide, DUI Manslaughter, and driving without a valid li- cense. He is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.
