Police are currently inves- tigating an armed robbery that took place Friday morn- ing.
It took place at the Value Pawn, 8511 N. Florida Av- enue, shortly after 9 a.m.
According to the Tampa Police Department, two Black men, wearing ski masks entered the business. One of the men was dressed in a black hoodie, white shirt and orange sweatpants. He
was armed with a handgun. The second man was report- edly wearing a gray sweat- shirt and black sweatpants, witnesses told police.
After robbing the busi- ness, the suspects fled in an undetermined direction.

Last Thursday, a Tampa police sergeant was arrested and charged with fraud.
He is accused of filing a false and fraudulent insur- ance claim.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the crime was committed in Pasco County. Sgt. Shane Gadoury is a 15-year em- ployee with the Tampa Police Department.
Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said, “While I can’t comment on an inter- nal investigation, I’m disap- pointed Shane has placed himself in this po- sition.”
Sgt. Gadoury was placed on administrative duty while the internal inves- tigation is being conducted. No additional information was available at press time.
Police Investigate After Gunshot Victim Dies
The Temple Terrace Po- lice Department is investi- gating a shooting that resulting in the victim dying from his injuries. The shoot- ing took place shortly before 4:30 p.m., Monday.
According to police, offi- cers receiving notification of the shooting and were dis- patched to the 100 block of S. Burlingame Avenue, in Tem- ple Terrace. When they ar- rived, they discovered that Eric P. Hansen had been shot. He was transported to
Advent Hospital, where he
died of his injuries. Police said
Hansen
knew the person who shot him and police have identi- fied the suspect. Detectives are currently consulting with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office to de- termine if charges will be filed.
